the hype on these asian teams has been extremely disappointing. SSO looks like complete shit, SKT looks decent but i don't even think they would be a top team in NA once people had adapted to their play style. OMG looks like they are playing well but i doubt it will last.

over all extremely disappointed, expected to be blown out of the water by the asian scene and all i've seen so far is shit from both group a & b

A lot of people here in Korea are saying that they should do away with the circuit point system in the future. SSO has been playing terribly for much of the tournament, and no one is expecting much from Najin Sword in the quarters. If Korea picked teams based on a "what have you done for me lately?" regional qualifier like everyone else, then KT B would be raping faces with Insec and Kakao. I personally still think SKT will get out of group A, and then they'll shine in the longer bo3 and bo5 format for the rest of the tournament. They won both OGN Summer and the 3rd seed qualifier by being able to adapt quickly within each series. I can't say much about the Chinese teams because I just haven't watched much of the LPL, but OMG has looked fine in their two games so far. I saw a bit of Royal in the Chinese qualifier tournament, and they were ultra aggressive. Hopefully that makes for some fun matches once the quarterfinals roll around.

EDIT: LD vs. OMG might have been the best game of the tournament so far. That game was great. Definitely worth peeping the VOD if you missed it.

OMG just destroyed GG, taking overall top position with 4 - 0 now. Hype match of the day, SKT vs TSM next! I hope work stays this calm so I can watch it on the side.

i'm not saying the asian scene is bad, i just expected them to blow away teams like TSM/LD who I personally don't think are that great . LD played OMG very closely and TSM played SKT fairly closely until mid game too even though i don't think reginald is a very good gragas

TSM'S picks were not very good. Oddone should have just brought his maoki back. Probably would have had better results. Teleport Nasus or singed, hell even Jayce would have been a better pick for Dyrus. Saw that Rumble pick a mile away.

I'm about to start that TSM vs. SKT match. Just finished pick/ban, and I don't understand TSM's comp at all. What the hell is Gragas supposed to do with Rumble and Sona? I'm also not a big Gragas fan in general, though. I think he's a situational pick in a fast pushing poke comp, using the utility from his ult to buy extra time to poke down turrets. For just about any other comp, there's going to be a better pick in the mid lane.

For just about any other comp, there's going to be a better pick in the mid lane.

I think this was the plan, to have dyrus throw ult down behind enemy turret, dps turrets and grag ult to play keepaway. But dyrus got boned so hard they couldn't do it.

I think what we're seeing so far is that China was the scarier Asian region all along, but that the gap between the regions isn't as huge as we all thought. It's certainly far smaller than it was in season 2.

I think he was just emphasizing the fact that theoddone's pick didn't really match up with anything and if you aren't going to match up, then you go with your strongest champ.

GG.EU is getting good experience and they are a really classy team. I hate seeing teams blow up on the big stage.

Yeah, I've been impressed by the attitudes of both GG.EU and Mineski. Both teams are clearly not able to compete with any other team in this tournament, but they are still having a blast and staying positive.
