I can't wait for the summer split. I want to see Bjergerking vs XiaoWeiXiao so bad. It seems a safe assumption that LMQ will walk over whatever bottom tier LCS team they play in the relegation tournament.

I just got around to watching the last match of LMQ vs CLB. That was easily the most impressive game by LMQ that I have seen. The stomps are great fun, but to see them lose so badly so early, and turn around that deficit makes me scared for even most of the current LCS teams.

Noname has to step up his game and it was strange to see Ackerman loosing a 1vs1, but I think it was mostly because they weren't really in their comfort zone (yet). If every single game in LCS Challenger and NACL series has been a stomp for you no matter what you do, then preparing/adapting to a "real" match isn't that easy. Great to see that they actually did judging by the way different team picks and that they can play different tactics than just the hyper-aggressive one. Still, I hope they make it into LCS and play some matches in "their" style as I don't think many teams would have an answer to that.

OT: Viq you aren't attending the Busan University, right? That just made it frontpage on my local newsportal.

Ah, you mean the building collapse? That was at a different school across town. I'm at Pusan National Univ.

EDIT: To clarify, the students in that accident were from a different school across town. The collapse happened in Gyoungju, which is about an hour north of here.

i'm really not sure why they are so insistent on keeping zuna around, he is clearly not that good at any role. although i'm not sure who they could replace him with that is a marked step up at this point

Zuna's brother is the manager. There's really no other reason. As somebody who's followed the team since they were MTW.NA and Aphromoo was on it, I am done with them until they kick him and get their shit together. It's so frustrating to watch one guy weigh a whole team down.

Champions Spring qualifier starts in 25min. SKT T1 S vs Midas FIO and Xenics Storm vs Mook Comet, casted by Monte + DoA. Anyone knows about the qualifier teams, like which one to watch?

Edit: Monte just tweeted that Midas FIO beat Jin Air Stealths 2:1 to get into this qualifier.

Xenics Storm could be interesting because of some roster changes. SKT T1 S looked pretty bad the other night in Masters, despite winning their game. I'm probably not going to watch the qualifiers.

SKT T1 S stomped their games and are qualified now. Picks looked boring on first games so I just fast forwarded them. Midas/Mook looked equally bad vs SKT/Xenics.

Got home a little early and caught Midas FIO vs Xenics Storm. What a strange, strange game. At one point Midas FIO was down about 10 kills and 2 turrets, but had a gold lead. Fun game to watch, but you could really see how massive the gap is between the established Korean teams, and these teams going through the prelims.

Lots and lots of LoL coming up over this next week in Korea. Masters tomorrow between KT and Najin, which I am really hype for. KT B is the only team in the world that I would consider myself a fan of. The next day is another prelim group featuring Najin Sword and IM#1. Then other prelim groups next week, and another Masters set on Sunday.

so does SKT1 K not have to play in the round of 16 in champions? or am i not understanding how korea works

If you finish top 4 you qualify for next OGN season, if you dont finish top 4 you have to qualify through NLB.
