Annie for me is Health Crystal > Boots > Catalyst > RoA > Ryla's or Meja's if I'm doing well > Radubon's whatever, the 30% ap thing.

Guardian Angel is nice if your team lacks a provoke. Also good if you take flash and are an initiator.

This is how I build Annie.

First start off with Dorans blade
get level 1 boots and rush infinity edge.
Last hit as much as possible. After that, stack atk speed.
With your stuns, you can probably land 2-4 auto attacks in doing a massive amount of damage.

That builds better on Ryze though. His DPS is insane, + it leaves more mana for your snare as it's the only thing you ever have to cast.

Playing MF on my smurf, which is basically not a smurf anymore because of how much I've fucked around on it. No one can carry some of these fucks.

I swear all PUGs are idiots. Had a PUG Shaco earlier today when my group was only 4/5 immediately say, when we went to our lanes and didn't immediately go to the enemy blue buff to gank/and or steal it from their jungler, "You guys aren't very strategic." Yes, because there is a hell of a lot of strategy that goes on before minions spawn. We proceeded to destroy the other team while he farmed creeps.

Saw an AP Trynd earlier, funny shit. Also, Crit bug is fixed.

But AP trynd is pretty damn interesting, heals for 1.5k+ Spins for 1k+ Phantom dancer for crits to reduce spins CD, boots, and 4x deathcaps.

Why does anyone stack Deathcaps. The passive is unique, so unless there is a bug, it's idiotic to stack them.

I'm gonna try this out, thanks. I had read somewhere that Annie didn't really do well with AP so it was Spell Pen to cap and then health but like I said everything I keep reading contradicts itself. I've never tried Health Crystal first either, always went with mana.

What are your thoughts on something like Haunting Guise as the first item after boots?

I've never really done any kind of spell pen. Finally starting to get runes for it. I would rather use runes for spell pen than an item slot for Haunting Guise. Catalyst will let you sit in a lane longer than your partner. Which in turn means you get a bit more solo xp.

155 AP, even w/out the passive on the rest it's the easiest way to get massive fucking AP on any char that's not mana based. Mana based I think the archangel stack of death still wins tho...

Builds with more utility and defense will work out better than just straight AP in the long run.

Not arguing that. I don't play any AP champs though, so not sure on what the better builds are. I do have fun as karthus from time to time with 1500AP, lol.

It depends on who you're playing. For example, Lich Bane is a good pickup on any caster who gets large amounts of AP AND auto attacks, i.e. Kennen and Nidalee.

Void Staff will improve your damage by a very large amount if you're fighting a tanky team, especially on bursty AP heroes like Lux.

Abyssal Scepter is a nice AP item for support AP heroes like Soraka imo. The aura can't hurt, the magic resist helps to keep you alive, and the extra AP helps with your heal.

Just a few examples.
