EU Superweek is over, and for the most part was kind of boring. There were a handful of long, close games, but they were that way because of bad positioning and some poor play. The most interesting game of the week to me was from day 3, MIL vs SHC. MIL played a creative siege comp of Olaf/Evelyn/Ziggs/Caitlin/Zilean in a very smooth, calm, calculated way. I love to see teams play a comp that is designed for something specific, and then to go out and execute well.

This is almost the exact same thing that happened last split. The good teams keep losing to crappy teams. Fnatic looks like shit. I honestly don't know how NA loses to EU. I think its just because EU is willing to do stupid stuff that works because you don't expect it, like all the picks and stuff. I think NA has caught on to that now and we are going to see some different results at Katowice. Gambit is the only team in EU that I feel is legitimately good in any meta.

New show with Thorin and MonteCristo is incredible. They spent the first 25 minutes or so breaking down Fnatic before moving onto other topics, like KT B and general macro strategy. Just their first show, but this has the patented CLG potential to be the best LoL analysis show around. Not sure how to embed their wacky video format, so just linking to it.

All-star format is going to be different this year. It's a tournament of the "current" top team from each region, meaning winners of NA/EU LCS spring split, and GPL. China's team will be whoever is in 1st place at the time of All-stars, and Korea will be team with the most circuit points at the time. Since OGN semis won't be finished by then, SKT T1 K is guaranteed the Korean spot at All-stars. Now we just have to wait for the other 4 teams to be worked out.

Came back a few days ago after an almost 4 month hiatus.

Any way someone can bring me up to speed on the meta trends? Or show me a place where I can do some reading?

Been just rotating through my usual Akali/Rumble/Riven/Shyvana and it's been working to some, not others. Riven in particular is a definite point of struggling. I was told she got nerfed but she feels so weak compared to before. Of course, my shoddy execution probably has to do with it... can't outplay 1 v 3 if you can't even outplay 1 v 1.

reign of gaming has a good article on LCS picks/bans/match-up analysis with pretty charts and you can build conclusions to the meta. IMO it is a flux between super tanks, assassins, wave clear, and boring as hell.

And yes Riven got nerfed hard and the current FotM tops counter her, play her mid if you want a chance.

Rivens still good, but you prob want to pick it into a good matchup.

Support start is health crystal+pots w/ hp5 quints into sightstone rush.

Not much has changed apart from a ton more supports are viable cuz of the spellthief improvements, but the jungler meta hasn't adapted yet ( a very small % have, cuz people are dumb and just copy lcs ) - tldr is bot is rarely warded, so start topside and gank bot at 3.

OGN Champions Spring about to start up in about 20 minutes. SKT T1 K vs SKT T1 S in the opening match. As much as I've been enjoying Masters, it's nice to have Champions back.

tl;dr Noh Dae Chul ( Manager of AHq : NO TIES WITH AHQ WHATSOEVER) comes up with a plan, gets 5 highly top tier ranker/players and create a team. Tells them bullshit lies to try to make them purposely lose and toto off their loses to make profit. Players had no idea what was happening and believed that OGN threatened them until they found out they had no official sponsor from AHq. (TOTO , AKA ONLINE BETTING FOR SPORTS/ESPORTS/)

1. Ogn had no idea this was going on(THEY WERE NOT INVOLVED) , this was all planned by Noh Dae Chul.
2. Opposing teams also had no idea what was going on , no other players at the time knew about it.
3. Ahq Promise (fimir) did not try to commit suicide just for this sole reason. He had many personal problems , you can check his facebook page but please do not post it here. (rules)
4. We do not know if actscene did purposely throw his game , honestly , I remember one game of the set and he seemed like he was actually playing. They could have just lost due to skill differences/stress/pressure from the coach. Please don't judge until we know everything. Please remember that it was their career , not just some game.

Even the KeSPA President adressed this in his speech prior to the Masters games today. In other news, he mentioned that winning Masters now nets you the 3rd seat for the korean team @ worlds. 1st and 2nd are going by circuit points, same as before.
