I might be engaging in a bit of hyperbole, but this week was an awful showing for EU. Don't give me the line about all of them being so close together that they can beat one another. Alliance, the clearly strongest team was destroyed by Gambit which looks like one of the weakest teams. FNC barely goes 2-2 after Roccat throws them the game. SK tried their hardest to lose to SHC a mediocre at best team. And these games weren't determined by great skill or turn arounds. They were determined by bad decision making, poor positioning, lack of map awareness. There is a ton of mechanical strength in Europe, there is very little game sense though. Millennium is going to be a very strong team this split and they are going to do it by taking down all of these "really good but equal teams".
So, yeah, EU obvious has some good players and some good teams, but this week of games was horrific if you are a fan of the EU, and it show the state of complacency of several of the top teams. SK, Alliance and Millennium deserve their positions and even they had some weak games. The rest of the teams are going to be playing for fourth.
I don't think that EU fans have their heads on straight, honestly. I have seen people already praising sOAZ for his amazing play in the last game against Roccat because he got 100 more CS. Of course this is completely ignoring the fact that his stats netted him a position equal to Vander. It was Overpow's incredible poor play that lost them the game, not some kind of psychological mind fucking from sOAZ that some people believe happened.
I hear ya. I certainly didn't enjoy about half the EU games this week. It was more of "how did they manage to fuck that up" then "Hey, good job."
EU as a whole has declined so sharply so quickly it's kind of odd
Fantastic, but you probably won't get anything done today once you start reading it: http://imgur.com/a/8ltAH
There goes my morning. Thanks Aev.
EDIT:
Let me preface this by saying
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
and in conclusion,
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
I read that a while ago. It was def entertaining :D
Wait so when does NA LCS start? I thought it was Noon EST, but it's probably Noon PST, isn't it? ISN'T IT??? Fuck the west coast. Fuck it right in the ass.
Oh wow, this is actually still ongoing. Last panel on Inven is from last Saturday and the translated imgur album is only missing that. Now I'm sad that I caught up tho.
Wow, TSM is getting out maneuvered everywhere.
Edit: I will be the first to say it, it is obvious that TSM is missing in shotcalling. Maybe it's time to start blaming the real problem, Regi, instead of blaming the players for being passive aggressive.
So yeah Cloud 9 is still the best
I'm pumped for the CLG and DIG games; dying to see how their roster changes have impacted their teams.
Seraph is a lovely addition to CLG. Liftlift on a mission.
LOMO nation.
Well, there goes any hope for me. 15/0/4 Shiphtur with a fucking penta kill. Game over man. Game over.
