Thanks for all the tips so far guys, I'm still trying to learn the gist of it all.

one thing to note, I only play vs. CPU at the moment to get used to it; is there still reason enough to get used to certain ways of playing? For example Jungling; so far have not seen 1 person doing this vs CPU, I take it they are just too easy to even bother doing this?

Depends on if you are doing beginner or intermediate CPU.

Beginner is just a joke as far as CPU IQ. Intermediate is somewhat more stressful on newer players seeing how the CPU doesn't pull stupid shit unless they get stuck in a loop and just run back and forth in a place.

I have seen some people jungle in vs CPU games just to see what it feels like and to see how well they can do it.

Well people mostly play against CPU to try out new things so generally you'll only see junglers if someone is trying it out. Though I've noticed on my smurf that lower level games often lack junglers in general.

Most people don't like the hassle of jungling without runes/masteries on the lower levels. Can only be pulled off effectively by a few heros and you need to be very time efficient to make it worth your while too.

like he said its Heroes of Newerth. it's LoL on hardmode with an even less mature playerbase. that said i typically go from lol to hon so i dont get completely tired of either game.

Yeah tbh, I love both games. I'm just currently playing LoL more because it's where most of my friends are at the moment.

I'm a very new LoL player but I just unlocked my 2nd and 3rd heroes, Rammus and Nunu. Loving both of them so far.

Any masteries worth getting/maxing asap? currently 3/3 Deadliness and 3/3 Perseverance for my Ashe play.

Good Hands and Awareness, Perserverance is pretty crappy since it's based off a % of a small number. Ghost too since you won't get Flash for a while and I feel it is better than Flash in most cases (imho)

I ALWAYS have trouble when I play Evelyn, especially if I lane against her.

Any suggestions or help on how to handle her better? She is probably one of my biggest FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU champions.

I know people use vision wards for her but I try to get oracle first trip back. Some may say it's a waste of gold that early but it pretty much puts Eve near useless in the lane. She'll have to go to another lane or become easy harass. But yea, otherwise just be defensive and hang near the tower when you don't see her. You may get less gold that way but she'll get even less as she is dependent on kills (especially at mid where you need to be defensive if she is MIA).

Game mechanics question: How does BV work for those champs that have shield ability? (eg: Morgana, Sivir, Nocturne, Sion, etc)

1) When both shields are up, which shield will actually proc first?
2) Or will they override one another?

Evelyn is just a pure bitch hero. You pretty much have to play defensively, always monitor her lane. If she happens to be mia bot and you are mid then you are most likely going to get ganked. Countering Evelyn is pretty much dependent on having lots of wards and good map awareness.

Playing Evelyn is basically farming up a Trinity and then playing as a scout/assassin.
