No, I'm just pointing out the reason why Russia won't ever allow a state to secede...no matter how insignificant it may seem. Grievances won't also be addressed anytime soon, the government at this stage cannot risk opposing the enraged public.

You're talking to a Turk. One word: kurds.
Entirely different issue really. Honestly, we would probably be better off without having to deal with the eastern part and ever increasing population&migration to the west.

That said, the majority of Kurds wouldn't even consider seceding at all. They've been a part of the empire for almost a thousand years and I've got to admit, they had been mistreated a little in 80's and 90's but their situation has been improving eversince.

Violent succesionist movement that appears partially as a response to Turkish disregard of kurdish nationalist appeals is an entirely different issue from a violent succesionist movement that appears partially as a response to Russian disregard for chechnyan nationalist appeals?

What you are calling "nationalist" is an internationally recognized terrorist organization fed by several countries, Kuya. Just look at how weakened they are in the recent decade.

We are talking about an estimated population of 15 million people~ in a 70 million country. Yet the seperationists can hardly find support anymore.

What you call "Turk" in Turkey is basically the name given to the citizens of Ottoman Empire after the rise of nationalism. It doesn't represent an ethnic group and it can't as its almost impossible to find a pure, asian "Turk" from 5th century.

    What is this tripe?

The PKK was a nationalist succestionist movement that is also a terrorist organization, and the only nominal difference between a group like that and the ones in Chechnya is that there the succestionist movement is islamic rather than marxist like the PKK. At no point in your post did you demonstrate how they are "entirely different". What i'm calling nationalist is exactly what the PKK was because nationalist and terrorist aren't mutually exclusive. How weakened the PKK was and is after Öccalan's capture circa 1998 is irrelevant to whether the kurdish succestionist movement is "entirely different" from chechnyan succestionist movements. Chronology is not an excluding factor unless you're an idiot.

That the PKK may be less popular does not change the fact that it was a succestionist/natioanlist terrorist organization like the ones in Chechnya. An irrelevent issue.

And finally, what the fuck does the fact that the concept of a Turk is a socially constructed idea by no less the same damn person you quote in your sig have to do with whether there was and is a kurdish succestionist movement in Turkey as there is one in Chechnya?

By "entirely different" I'm talking about the situation of Kurds in the country.

Take Turgut Ozal as an example, our eighth president who is an ethnic kurd. He won the elections with a landslide of 49%, can you think of a Chechen being able to win elections in Russia and getting the highest office? And actually changing the course of the country? Buried under a mausaleum in the capital city after his death? Or leading a party like CHP(yes, the very party that's founded by Ataturk himself).

    kurdish succestionist movement
...supported by Greece, Syria and Iraq. Not the Kurds in the country.

You're dense. The conversation is over.

The first thing you should have done was accept that the statement "entirely different" was stupid. Nothing more needed to be said.

I've explained the situation of "Kurds" and what differs them completely from Chechens. "Kurds" is not an organization or movement, its you who jumped on an enitirely different topic after that original comment. Heck, the fucking topic before you started shitting on was all about the "people", the regions.

    My next post,

By "entirely different" I'm talking about the situation of Kurds in the country.
was also clear enough. Now you may keep dancing and smooching terrorist ass all night long.
