It's one of those difficult situations (the 2nd video) when Tanaka prattles on for 5 minutes and she has to remember everything.

I hate having my wife translate JP or CN for me, they speak 5 minutes and she has 30 seconds to say, english language is just that much more concise. You can make complicated wording simple when you aren't doing a word for word translation.

That's how consecutive translation works. You do not translate word for word (well, you almost never do that, but you know what I mean ) everything a person says, your job is just to convey the main points of what he's saying using your own words. But people don't know this and think she sucks, while she's actually doing a pretty good job.
