I've only just watched Thor and waiting for the DVD for Captain America to come out before watching it for the first time. I've also tried to keep unaware of the storyline for this one, but I assume from the trailer that Loki is the big bad?

Its really too bad we cant keep a consistent actor as Bruce Banner, but I guess when its all said and done, its the Hulk part that's most important.

Or, as it actually happened, Norton wanted creative control over the Hulk movie because he had "ideas" as to how to make it work better instead of being cheesy. Marvel Studios said he was too difficult to work with and instead of bringing him back felt it would be easier to replace him like they replaced Terrence Howard in Iron Man. regardless if you liked The Incredible Hulk or not(I happen to), I'm sure Marvel knows how to treat their characters well.

I enjoyed Norton as the the Prof. Mark Ruffalo is a decent actor too, so im sure he can pull it off.

That sorta makes him sound like a dick lol. He was getting paid to act, not write the movie. I did think he did a good job, although he never really looked the part to me. Ruffalo seems like a better fit, as much as I hate swapping actors around in the sequels. Originally Posted by kuronosan

Norton looks more like the typical depiction of banner than ruffalo does, but all in all banner rarely gets the spotlight when it comes to the hulk's part in the avengers.

Friend and I were chatting about the choice of going with Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. I liked Norton and enjoyed the last movie, however something interesting about Ruffalo. In the brief shot of him in the trailer, I get this vibe from him that he looks like a guy who is at his breaking point in a physical and mental manner. I have high hopes for him, even if we see very little of him in the movie. He may not be your typical scrawny Bruce Banner but Marvel knows what they're doing.
