I'm not sure how to respond to someone who obviously plays FFXI having to google Odin and his Ravens...
    Lol! Thought the same!

    Also...
    Spoiler: show
In Thor movie, Thor explains the 9 worlds. I can assume he means 9 "dimensions", because I dont remember Asgard being physically somewhere in our universe.

Then, in Avengers, he says Loki met the Chitauri, an alien race from (yet?) another dimension? At least in the comics, Thanos is from our same universe, and so are the Chitauri/Skrull.
Also, it'd be kinda odd that the Asgardians knew of only 9 dimensions (plus the whole Yggrasil branches lore), when there are others.

I thought he said Clutch up Legolas, either way, hilarious. Also hilarious when Hulk throws a sidepunch at Thor.

He uses the term realms and the Thor movie establishes that the Bifrost acts as a wormhole which would be intra-universe travel. It could be careless use of the term dimension but I don't think there is supposed to be any implication that there are only nine dimensions or that this was an interdimensional threat.

Yes, obviously because the ravens are an intricate part of the storyline. Just because they are in Einherjar doesn't give them any kind of background information.

I knew about them, purely because of Einherjar.

Great Movie, love Joss Whedon. Had some of the humor I expect from him without being over the top.

Deadline confirms that Disney and Marvel Studios are on course for a record $69.7M at the North American box office yesterday after earning an impressive $80.5M on Friday. While official figures aren't set to be released until a little later today, Joss Whedon's superhero ensemble is currently on track to add upwards of $49M to that total today, making a final sum of $200M all the more likely (we'll be sure to update you when those figures come through later today or tomorrow). Basically, The Avengers has managed to do what Voldermort failed to acheieve across eight films - they have completely decimated Harry Potter, smashing the previous record held by The Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($169M) with ease. Sources also indicate that the worldwide total now stands at $640+M. Here are the latest box office figures also courtesy of the site

    Spoiler: show
The avengers eating at the schwarma place. About a solid minute of them just sitting there eating, not saying a word, while someone sweeps up dust in the background. It sounds boring lol, but its pretty hilarious that they never say anything.

To be fair Darkseid is basically Marvel's Thanos. Close, but not close.

The people behind me recognized him from MvC2 instantly. The whole "Thanos reigns", acted out and everything.

Movie was great. Definitely exceeded my expectations, although I went in not really knowing what to expect since I didn't really watch any of the trailers.

I missed the second after-credits scene! As for the first one:
    Spoiler: show
I didn't know who that was, but thanks to the guy behind me screaming out "Ooohoho! Thanos!" I was able to google/wiki him. Lol. Should be interesting if they make a second one.

Some friends and I did a movie marathon leading up to the show last night. We watched Norton's Hulk, then Iron Man 1&2, then Thor then Cap. We had the pleasure of a half-full 12:05AM show, so that was nice too.

And for the record, holy shit at the Dr. Pepper product placement.

Also, fucking fun way to waste a day and a half. Especially when you throw in Cinco de Mayo and margaritas.

Edit: Really, my biggest complaint about the show last night was that there were way too many previews. Maybe I'm past the point of ready for Dark Knight Rises and Brave, but they could have stopped the trailers after Prometheus and I would have been just fine.
