Damion Poitier has starred in a few well-known films in the last decade. He has joined Jake Gyllenhaal in Jarhead, Hugh Jackman in Real Steel, Star Trek in 2009 along side Chris Pine and of course he is set to play Thanos in the Avengers sequel…

Thanos’s Background:
Thanos was born on Titan, a moon of the planet Saturn, to ‘Mentor’ and ‘Sui-San’. Due to a genetic quirk, Thanos is born with the ‘Deviant’ gene and as such resembles the ‘Deviants’ — the cousin race of the ‘Eternals’ — more than his own people.

Maturing to adulthood, and via the use of bionics and mysticism, Thanos augments his abilities to become the most powerful of the Titanian-born Eternals.

Perosnally I can’t wait to see him play Thanos…

Agree with the other post saying that would be a cop out. Considering if you had the chance to steal the gauntlet and get caught. Why would you care, you have the freaking gauntlet. Who's gonna stop you after that.

Btw, I don't read comics and what not but why doesn't Odin ever take advantage of the gauntlet? Or maybe he does I dunno.

I've been kind of wondering that myself ever since it got pointed out it was the mind gem. You're nigh unstoppable with the infinity gauntlet. Why on Asgard would anyone not just put the glove on when trying to steal anything gem related?
What they should have done with the Mind gem was hide it in Ku'lun or a similar mystical place. Thanos can collect the other Gems in the backdrop of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie I hear might be coming about as well as the next Thor movie which will surely involve adventures to the other realms. Or alternatively a gem could have replaced Odin's eye to represent the knowledge gained from sacrificing in front of the world tree.

Odin's vault is full of things that could enable others to stand up to him. If he's not fighting against one of those special items, he's leaps and bounds more powerful than everyone around him therefore never needing to use any of those items. Odin with the Gauntlet would just be stupid powerful, even on the cosmic marvel scale.

Gauntlet isn't related to Odin in the comics. If you are asking why he didn't in the movie, I would assume the potential danger of using the gauntlet as a whole is too much. The vault seemed to lock up "treasures" that were all extremely dangerous. That's why the casket of ancient winters was there.

The infinity gauntlet tends to be extremly dangerous. In an alternate universe a Nazi Reed Richards got a hold of it and accidentally destroyed the entire universe because he was angry for a moment.

There has been a bunch of talk lately about Spider-Man joining forces with The Avengers. According to Latino Review, the two universes almost merged in Marvel's blockbuster. It is rumored that the Oscorp Tower was “this close” to becoming part of the skyline for Avengers. The news was revealed after production designer J. Michael Riva died last week after suffering a stroke. Riva designed the Oscorp Tower, and his work has been seen in such films as The Goonies, The Color Purple, A Few Good Men, Congo, Evolution, the Iron Man films, and the upcoming Django Unchained.

Sony and Marvel were actually going to let this awesome little Easter Egg be a part of The Avengers. The only reason that the Oscorp building did not make the cut was because it needed some up-conversion to fit into the skyline for the film. The digital Manhattan seen in Avengers was already done, so this awesome superhero skyline was scrapped.

It's one thing to allow a building to be put in to honor someone that died, but it's something else all together to put in Spiderman. Can't imagine how much of a cut Sony would want to include Spiderman in the movie..

Rumor rumor rumor.

The Avengers is sitting comfortably at No. 3 overall on both the domestic and International ticket sale charts but it seems both Marvel and Disney desire the No. 1 overall spot and a current rumor says they could be contemplating releasing The Avengers: Director's Cut in theaters at the end of this summer.

Please remember this is from a ComicBook.com post and another Hollywood source who has heard this rumor and told SuperHero Authority this is a possibility but nothing has been confirmed to actually happen. Marvel and Disney have not said anything regarding this new rumor as well.

You might be thinking this is a ridiculous move but when you consider the fact there could be over 35 minutes of new and unseen footage in the director's cut, you might actually consider seeing it again in the theater. Before the current theatrical version was released, director Joss Whedon's previous edit of the film was at just about, or just over, three hours in length.

This journalist thinks that amount of additional time is more than enough to make the re-investment worthwhile.

In the end, this move could legitimately push The Avengers to the top of both the domestic and International charts and the world's largest entertainment company will own the top grossing movie ever.

Please remember the key word here is rumor.

I'd happily watch a director's cut.

The Avenger's was the first time I seen a Marvel movie and then I managed to grab some rips off people for Cap, Iron 1 and 2, Hulk and Thor, and I thoroughly enjoyed them all. So going in to watch Avengers again would help me piece them together.

I'm hoping they will release some sort of Blu-Ray/DVD box set for all 5 movies when The Avengers hit the shelves. I really want to listen/watch the extras, so I'm holding out for now until I get possibly more information later.
