Pretty much. I think the FFXI community has grown up at least a little in the past 6 years or so. Children have learned to speak and write since then FFS. This isn't good "drama", it's an empty nobody's attempt at being recognized by acting like an 8th grader. Nothing to see really, standard internet flotsam. The point is that Omfg and whoever the fuck else think they are getting back at some of the older Apathy members because there's tons of bad blood. Does it belong on BG? No not really because most outsiders don't even know the details or care. The people "affected" don't even care because the account got RMT'd a long time ago. The sting of Sinus quitting and selling his shit is probably over now. If anything, the bigger sting was selling it to that german kid Max who was fucking terrible and made everyone want to tear their eyes out trying to play with him.

The use of "up most" instead of utmost and the spelling of "pedastool" instead of pedestal made the whole thread for me! Yeah yeah I know, who cares about spelling, wordplay etc. but it just cracks me up when I see people use words that they cannot spell or even use properly.

I personally had a GM in my linkshell for quite some time. She and her boyfriend both joined my shell under the condition it was kept completely silent, but obviously with me posting this you can safely assume that didn't last very long.

Before I get the "lol they lied to you" I can confirm no, no they did not. I was skeptical at first, believe me I was. But when a close friend got his account banned for AFK botting, and she was able to unlock his account, as well as two other linkshell member's accounts later in the month, all doubt was cleared.

She had, over the course of several years, used her position to not "create" gil, but actually move it. When a well-endowed player was permanently banned, she would move the gil the player had to her own account. I remember once, her boyfriend showing me 5-6 of each of the 10,000 currency pieces, all in his inventory at the same time. Was absolutely ridiculous. Capped gil on both of their accounts at all times.

It was a very strange situation. I don't know if it was fear of sending off alarms all over the place or not, but neither of them was willing to spend the gil they had. They definitely had maximized gear(sans relics), but were very..thrifty.

The boyfriend at least, was very stingy about getting exact cuts of payouts, got very upset when he didn't get his ancient beastcoins in seconds after limbus, etc. Was never really able to get a read on them, but yeah.

And Uryuu, that's why I had my disclaimer at the top. It wasn't about Apathy at all, could care less as I said, just these naysayers need to see the truth.
