Friends got LM-17. HELP!

Two of my friends got LM-17 for sharing the same credit card on 2 different accounts, plus having another account on that card. When they call SE they are told that it is under investigation and that they are suspected of RMT activity due to the multiple accounts on one card. What should they do? Is it possible to fix this?

I really find this hard to believe.....I run 3 accts on one card, I know ppl that run up to 5 accts on one card. Have never had a problem

Theres more to it, I'm sure theres alot of people here that run multiple accounts on one card and have no problems.

well its what SE told them, I did hear about SE over charging them randomly, but i don't believe that was mentioned in the call

Did your "friends" by chance do a chargeback?

I've got two of the accounts I use on an ex-girlfriend's credit card (lol, she don't know/never removed it/don't care) back when she still played this game. One of those accounts is infamous for MPKing/botting like crazy, and the other is possibly on Leviathan right now.

Point I'm trying to make is this has never affected her in anyway, since her main account is still active. That's a total of 3 accounts on the same CC :/

That's usually how it goes. Just own up to it, no one really gives a shit these days anymore. If you did any of that shit and were caught, tough luck.

Someone might correct me on this but if it was botting they wont cancel that card, just the account so that leaves the other option.

Not every time, i've lost a mule while i was paying for a friends account because he was botting. Just glad i didn't have him on my main's CC account.

No mather what you did if you get caught for doing anything bannable by SE your account and any other using same CC will get banned thats how they work

Hm, when my first char got banned from salvage duping, my gf's char was on the same card, and it wasn't banned. Just follow the masses and blame SE's inconsistency for this, it's somewhat self-rewarding when you can do that instead of owning up and saying you bought gil from an undercover GM

Since nobody mentioned it, I'm assuming that in addition to perhaps one person getting caught for something and just not wanting to admit it, it's likely a flag that they have multiple accounts on the same CC that are coming from different IPs.

Most people who have multiple accounts on the same card probably all log in from the same place, right?

Yeah, while they do sometimes ban every account on a CC, they don't always. I had three accounts on the same cc when i got banned, and neither of the other two were banned.

I tend to travel a lot, if they log IP's my toon has a good 300+ IP's that have been logged from hotels, etc lol.

I don't see how thats relevant at all even if they were cracking down on RMT they would look for the same IP before different IP. Different IPs only would proove more that you did not RMT
