Like X-2, story etc was shit, but I liked the battle system enough to play it. It's not a good game by any means, but if you're willing to deal with what it does wrong, you can still enjoy what is good about it. Anyways, lolopinions etc.

Actually X-2 is a good game.
The fact is, what you dumbfucks fail to realize is having a bad story does not make a game bad.

in XIII's case I don't think there is really a core aspect that's strong enough to justify dealing with the flaws, at least not for everyone. It is not complete and utter shit, but certainly has some glaring issues.

I don't want to get all "semantics" about it, but a lot of people don't think about the exact meaning of a phrase before using it. I know people who mean "flaws aside" as a way of saying 'yeah it has flaws but if you deal with them...', and some who use it as a way of just ignoring the issues, and that was what I am trying to communicate. Not that it means the same thing inherently, but that some people use it as if it did.
