    Thinking about getting new speakers...

I got a new PC last year, but amidst the upgrades, I didn't get new speakers or a monitor. In the latter case, I'm content with my 19" flat for now, but the speakers are about 7 years older and I think age is starting to get to them with random popping when people flick the lights in the other room and the subwoofer not really belting out like it did when new.

That said, I'm on a budget of around $100-150, and am looking to get the most I can get for the cheapest amount. I'm not really an audiophile, and I'm sure the budget restricts possibilities from that category, but I'm hoping there might be some good surround sound options out there.

These 5.1 Speakers work great for me, using them atm, they have 3 speaker cables to output from the computer though, so Iunno if that's what you want

Yeah, I'd seen those priced on a few sites. Some mentioned popping in a few of the reviews, though. That ever come up at all?

As for my soundcard's I/O, I have Line In, Microphone, Center/Subwoofer, Front, Rear, and Side inputs. Would imagine that enough.

I have that set of Logitechs, and am pleased with them. For a budget 5.1 setup, they perform admirably. The sub performs better than I expected, and while it won't be shaking any rooms, it does the trick. I haven't heard any popping from any of the 5 satellites either. Just keep the volume levels reasonable and I'm sure they'll meet your needs.

Your sound card appears to support 7.1, so you're all set on that front.

Guess I'll see if I can maybe find it on sale somewhere, then. Been trolling ebay and such, but they're either like $70 with $20 shipping or over $100 when other direct retailers seem to be floating around $85.
