I'd love to see a reboot starting at RE4. I really like those 'zombies' better, and it would fit the action role (if they want to go with that) a lot better. Hell, just a live action sequence of the first part of the game (when Leon enters the town) would be awesome...

But yeah, if they want suspense and horror...

Second was fucking terrible, Mary Sue overshadowing the canon characters and HURP DURP KARATE FIGHT NEMESIS.
Didn't even watch the third after I saw the trailer with that viking Heroes bitch who can't act playing Claire, and apparently Mary Sue gets telekinetic powers in that one? K.

It just seems like they based it on the RE franchise because some guy thought the monsters were cool and needed a justification to copy them, then have chicks with guns backflip around/dropkick them. Also, wat @ telekinetic powers...

No. They are garbage(as "action movies"), especially number 2.

Some people make up this rule "Adaptations/sequels/etc would be better if you changed the name!" But I am starting to see the reverse nowadays, where people are very forgiven just because they think this way. "Man, this scat porn would be pretty cool if it wasn't called Final Fantasy!"

I'll go see it, I enjoyed the other 3. Nobody really gets scared from movies anymore... would fail if they made it some type of thriller imo. Better off as a action movie with some of those scary elements tied in.

I actually kind of liked the series of movies for just popcorn cheesy action zombie films. Not to mention I really liked seeing Nemesis in the second movie and this trailer shows the crazy axe guy from RE5.

If you are looking for a movie following Resident Evil story lines obviously you're in a wrong place. If you're looking for mindless killing, setting zombie crows on fire with someones mind, and overall wtf this dont even make sense at all movie, this is it for you.

The trailer probably showed all action scenes that are in the movie, and if not, they still look corny as hell, especially retarded posing with katanas and guns. Can't call it a B movie, nor an action flick. Wtf is it?

Interesting. I always wondered why Jill wasn't in the third movie. She was hot in the second.

And yes, I treat these movies as simple popcorn flicks, they're fun enough if you aren't looking for anything too deep.

I try not to think much into these "movies" as I'm a fan of the games but often it just gets to me when I see how much shit they take from the games and twist it in here, for me honestly if I were a director and I couldn't make a movie adaption based on a book/screenplay/anime/video game as close to the source material, I just wasn't gonna do it end of story.
