If you read his other responses to posts, he's just determined to troll and discredit the game as much as he can despite the fact that he can't understand the basics of the plot.

So confusing for you to reply to something she said through my quote. I don't get why you can't just go back a page and quote it. >.>
Anyway, that doesn't really matter. The only time I could really forgive someone skipping a cutscene is either A) their second time through the game or B) after you get raped by a boss and you don't want to go through the same, long cutscene again.
Haha I suppose. And yeah, people who just quit cutscenes annoy me <_< if you want just a sandbox action game, play GTA or play Halo or something.
If this is the most illogical ending for some then they obviously haven't played many games. Personally, I thought the story was solid and well put together, easily one of the best in a franchise clogged by convoluted nonsense.
Can I just say that I thought Dahaka was the easiest story boss in the game? I was so disappointed because for a minute I thought he was the final boss of chapter 11. Quitting the game due to that is lol
I agree too. After C9 Bart to Hecatoncheir etc, I was expecting him to be a nightmare. Just can't neglect your defences.
I personally like the ending, although it was too long. I guess if you didn't understand you should read through the Logs before you complete it, just to find out the whole story.
I zerg'd him down in 2 minutes.
The Goddess Etro was the one who intervened and prematurely crystallized Fang/Vanille during their first attack on Cocoon, and it was her again who pushed the other members out of the 'darkness' during Bart's trickery on the second attempt. The Maker is a separate entity entirely.
And the group never receives a 'new focus' from anybody, despite what Sazh seems to suggest in confusion. It's just the realization of human free will, the same thing that happened to Cid, that causes them to crystallize at the end.
Yep, like I mentioned.. I got cocky, had him near death (could barely see his life tbh.. but it was probably 10-20% left, didn't check his numerical HP), and was like.. "Ah fuck it, gonna zerg." then bam: Deshell + Aeroga = LOLDEAD. So I went in next time with Haste/Bravery/Faith and fucking raped him.
Blaming the game for your own shortcomings.. ah, humanity.
No wonder games are easy nowadays.
Not blaming it for my own shortcomings. I didn't like the game, I was already annoyed with it before I got to Dahaka. It was just the cherry on top to not want to even finish it because it didn't seem worth it to me. You can criticize me all you want because 'I suck so bad at the game I couldn't even kill Dahaka' but I'm still going to think the game was terribad - and I don't have to beat it to know that.
I love how everyone thinks that they knew that everyone wasn't going to die.
It's precious. It really is. Us, as players, knowing what we know, shouldn't have killed Orphan.
Dropping the reason why it's okay to kill orphan after the fact is shit storytelling. Period.
Maybe you just don't like things which aren't black and white?
It was the lesser of two evils! It's not a perfect outcome! There's little more to it. They did it because they felt it was the best thing to do, not that it was the perfect thing to do. You as a player and they know the consequences of what will happen... throughout the game you don't expect it to happen, you expect that you will be able to escape your genocidal fate (how many people thought they would find some way to remove the brand in Oerba?) - but you cannot. I thought it was quite a subtle "oh shit" moment.
Did you not even read what else I wrote?
Just because it was easy for you doesn't mean it was easy for everyone else. I've also seen other people complain about the boss being difficult too.
And nope, I had decent gear in FFXI.
Kill yourself.
