It's just the build up to 2012 where the earth will shake itself apart. Obviously.

Definitely felt it here in Southern California. When it hit, I couldn't tell if I was just imagining things because it was such a low vibration, but my tv started to shake a bit but not too noticeably. It went on for a good 20-30 seconds or so, and I was wondering when the main jolt was going to hit. When it did, it basically just tapered off. I just thought it was a small quake around here (We have way too many faults in So Cali, not just San Andreas) but then I was hearing reports of a 6.9 in Baha and the new agencies reporting that's where the quake came from. I hate to say it, but this was long overdue. We haven't had any significant earthquake produced by the San Andreas in some time.
I hope she was on her way to the kitchen.
That was rather enjoyable, I was almost asleep and nearly missed it.
But yeah, in Los Angeles, it was long, but weak. If you experienced the ones in the 80s/early 90s, you'd know it wasn't bad enough to be something to worry about.
Though with all the earthquakes this year, it'd be smart to do some emergency drills, have a disaster kit on hand.
The worst I've experienced was the Northdrige one, that shit was intense. The worst place to be when one of those hits is parking structures. Might as well throw yourself on the mercy of our lord.
No we don't http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Califor...n_8_%282008%29
On a serious note that was pretty crazy. I rarely ever feel the quakes we get out in SD, but I definitely felt this one. It was enough to kick a decent amount of water out of our pool.
I was standing on a ladder painting didnt feel it, mom was on the floor and felt it In SFV
