Yes, by a fair margin. The 8600 GT is listed on the chart, it's under the blocks with the 7800/7900 cards. There are a couple variants of it, DDR2 and DDR3 versions, but the 4670 is still several tiers (on that chart) above 'em.

This card is good for someone that has a store bought computer. This doesn't require a 6 pin PCI-E power connector. I believe the 9600GT does

This card is the equivalent of a 8800GS, 9600GSO, GT 240 this is also the 1GB version, I believe the version tested and benchmarked was the 512MB one.
