How many people are looking forward to having a first and last name?

Well I think the two name system is both good and bad. By itself, it's kind of nice because it either allows us an extra layer of customizibility with our names, or it allows us to have two-word names instead of trying to cram multiple words into one name.

The problem is, most of us have our matrixy internet names that we've carried around for years. Even though mine is two words, I'd rather only have one name since I've always used it with one-name accounts. The two-name thing will be an even bigger issue for people that can't split up their internet name. You can't just tack a new surname onto a name that you've been using for so long.

So I vote yes to a two name system if it's optional, and I vote no if it's mandatory. Having the option for two names is nice, but if they want to force everyone to have two names then it would be better to have just one name only.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but /t works off the first name only, and you can have the same last name as someone else. Only the first name must be unique.

It's been tested already, I thought. Someone made a character with the same first, last, and both names as someone else. They were allowed to make the same first name, same last name, just not both names.

Its a dumb idea anyway- they want us to preserve our original names, which is good (in theory) but I don't think it'll pan out as a solution for that, and instead just cause issues (or stupidity)
