You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

don't worry - it's nothing like the fucking retarded description. it's more about souls than anything relating to kissing or even romance. it's interesting because there are 3 stories in this book, and each of them applies a little bit of mysticism from a different type of culture to the plot. the first story is so-so, the second one is more interesting, and the third one is really pretty fucking awesome.

Already read and love GRRM :D I just hope he keeps to his 7 book series, unlike Jordan who couldn't stop taking money.

I have not read the other one though so I'll give it a shot, thanks!

Sucks though. I have been reading a lot of British literature lately, and was getting the itch to read some high fantasy again. But it seems that I've read every good one. (Well famous one, I don't like the Sword of Truth series even if people want me to).

fyi for the readers, a really good series that isn't often mention is the Death Gate Cycle books. One of the few fantasy series that didn't seem to lose itself by the last book, and definitely seemed complete. I may just end up rereading those after the Lips Touch one if I can't find something else.

This series Isladar recommended is good, the Prince of Nothing series by R. Scott Bakker.

I do recommend the WoT re-read though

ooooh I haven't heard of the prince of nothing books so I'll check that out too.

As for WoT as I said with each new book I end up rereading the whole series, so if it's not finished I'll wait till it is then go through it. I can finish the current books in 1 to 1 1/2 months depending on my work schedule, so don't wanna get stuck in the same position I'm already in. It's like that with the martin books too. I read so many books in between, when a new one comes out I've forgotten who died or I'm often thinking "why the fuck is X character in X?", so I always want to reread them to refresh my memory.

I do mostly enjoy the first 5 books of the WoT series, but after that is when he really started to stretch the story to reach 14 books, and then it gets a little boring.

Nono, I mean the summaries on tor.com. They're actually interesting and summarise the story and if you've already read them you'll probably enjoy them.

if no one replied properly (I got bored after 30 replies) then no, it is not finished, the first volume of the final book has been released

the author died before he could finish it himself but left the notes with his estate and decided on a ghost writer before he died (or his wife did with his blessing)

anyway it's gonna be 3 books, and all released right before christmas if those stupid a-holes at TOR have anything to do with it

I've been meaning to read the whole sword of truth series, I got a bit through the first book before I became distracted and loved it a lot.

Even though I know the show is taking huge leaps and bounds away from the book I'm finding the show to be very enjoyable as well.

I read the first 3? 4? and stopped after I realized the plot in each of them is exactly the same, and I didn't like how he takes characters and leaves them somewhere random for 600+ pages and they come back in the last 200+ and save the day.

Like that guy and the girl (been too long so don't remember the names) that were stuck in limbo-world for like forever, and magically show up at the end and were heroes!

    I'm too picky I think.

The Sword of Truth is ok, if you can get past the author's tendency to preach through Richard (mainly)'s speeches. Boy are there a lot of speeches. It's not great, though.

When the new WoT book came out I started re-reading them with the intent of reading it; I got through 1-9 in about a week and a half and then just ..stalled on book 10 for some reason. Maybe it's because I really dislike Cadsuane, and my favorite character (Mat) needs way more screentime.
