The Sword of Truth is ok, if you can get past the author's tendency to preach through Richard (mainly)'s speeches. Boy are there a lot of speeches.

When the new WoT book came out I started re-reading them with the intent of reading it; I got through 1-9 in about a week and a half and then just ..stalled on book 10 for some reason. Maybe it's because I really dislike Cadsuane.

I gave up on whatever book that was 1400+ pages (aren't they all?), and Mat wasn't in a single one of them. 1400+ pages! And Jordan couldn't put him in anywhere....(is my favorite character).

Mat Cauthon is absent from the book, due to injuries sustained at the end of the previous book, A Crown of Swords. Robert Jordan had earlier done the same for Perrin Aybara, who had been absent from Book 5, The Fires of Heaven.

I kinda dislike the most recent Game of Thrones because he split what was originally gonna be one massive book into two, the first of which only focuses on half of the characters, and the second half which has more characters I like is still not out.

I can't like characters in that series. Every time I get a favorite, they end up dying.
