i have my monitor setup so i can have both my ps3 (hdmi) and pc (vga) both hooked up at the same time.

i only ask this question cause i read the manual and it said not to do ^ but i didn't and still don't see why it would do any harm to either the monitor the ps3 or the pc ( since in the monitors menu there is the option of selecting which signal to use either hdmi or vga depending if i'm gaming or not ). There is the lingering thought in the back of my head that is annoying the shit out of me though.

more specifically i'm wondering if leaving both hooked up to the monitor at the same time and both of them running at the same time ( skype > ingame voice in mw2 ) would do anything harmful.

any help?

Can't say I've ever had problems with having multiple devices hooked to a monitor with multiple inputs. I mean, never say never...but I've done that sort of thing for years with VGA/DVI without harming anything.

you will be fine. I had my ps3 and Laptop hooked up to my 22in Monitor. Did it for almost a year. Running both at the same time. I did exactly what you did. Would be on Ventrillo with FFXI friends while playing MW2. Its fine dont stress it.
