I'd prefer HD sprites to the 3D...but I can understand the logic in using 3D models.

Don't particularly love the look of the game thus far, but it could be worse.

The harsh interrogation spotlight lighting on the character models still turns me off. Maybe they're supposed to look like action figures in a realistically-lit diorama of a background but everything has that unmistakable underpowered-Wii-game plastic sheen on it that clashes hard against the rest of the graphic work going on.

Supposed to look like comic art, which, in fairness, it does bear some resemblance to when you look at the full-size images.

I would expect that they'll have multiple rendering filters at release anyway. One of the advantages of using 3D models.

Don't really care for the new style. If they were going for comic book-style, they absolutely nailed it, but I'm just not sure whether I like it or not yet. Then again, I also hated the look of Street Fighter 4 still images until I actually got to see it in motion, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

Why not? It's getting pretty old when people say "there's no way the game will look that good," current console hardware is incredibly powerful when coded right. The only limit on graphics at this point is the coding and creativity/dedication of the team behind the game.

Also, unfortunately "1080p" on consoles is usually just stretching the image.

So they can add more polygons, woo hoo. Point being there is no reason those graphics can't be made on the console, they are no more amazing then games like Uncharted 2 or Modern Warfare 2

Hello everyone. This is Kadowaki checking in.

It's been a while since we've been able to give you guys any new information. So I'm happy to report that as we've finished one stage of our preparations, we're getting ready to move onto the next step.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is kicking off next week, and we're planning on showing off Marvel Vs Capcom 3 in a big way!

Even though E3 is a huge event, not everybody will be able to go to it. So I'd like to tell you here about some of what we're preparing for the event. When E3 gets underway these things will be released here and there, so be sure to check everything off this list as you come across it! Everything we're going to show off at E3 will be brand new content!

1. Promotional Video
What you've all been waiting for! I hope you will get an appreciation for our dedication to the game when you watch it.

2. Promotional Video Preview
This will be released in the very near future.

3. 5 Gameplay Videos + ???
We went all out with the characters that will be revealed at E3. The "+ ???" is something we've put together exclusively for our Japanese fans (you'll know why when you see it...).

4. Character Artwork
Of course we'll have artwork for the newly revealed characters. I wonder how many that will be...?

5. Artwork from Shinkiro
Well-known artist Shinkiro (Capcom Vs SNK 2, Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Cross Generation of Heroes, etc) has provided some great new illustrations. He came through for us even though we didn't give him a whole lot of prior notice. You can expect his usual high quality. The artwork will be appearing in various locations around E3.

And finally, we will have a playable version of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 at E3! We wanted to give you a chance to get in some playtime as soon as possible
