It's better be a new fucking pokedex, no old pokemon, no new evolutions for X favorite pokemans, no nothing old pokemon. I hate fucking transferring from X game with X items to get X event for X thing, god I really hate that. I want to be able to buy one game and be able to do shit on it alone without having to trade to get shit.
Doesn't mean they can't add new pokemon to the national dex.
no shit, but I'm saying I want a new pokedex altogether, it'd be nice to have an entirely new game.
I think that's the whole point of B&W here: A completely new Pokedex will be the end result.
Now, I wouldn't be surprised if we see the "third game" of the series offer a link back to Platinum, but as the old Pokemon data won't be available to B&W, that'll be the only way we'd see previous generations fighting vs. the new ones for some time, unless they glom them all together on a Wii game.

quick google search, seems i didnt save the 4ch post i read a while ago.
original art for caterpie has 6 legs, i'm not sure wheter venomoth has 6 arms or w/e but after original r/b/y art, caterpie is shown to have 4, like caterpie's 2arms/2legs
r/b/y sprites of venonat>butterfree's poses have a strong resemblance, its like a lil jumpy pose
metapod has 3 spiky shit poking out at the top (was a lot more spiky and outwards in the older versions), venomoth has 3 shit too
also, in the old art of venomoth, he had lil yellow shit on his wings, resembling caterpie's belly
and tons of other shit... its all speculation, but makes sense to me honestly lol, just as much as the cubone/kanga thing
heres a quote
In the original, original Sugimori artwork of Caterpie, it actually had six legs. The last pair was dropped before creation of the game in which it has four legs.
Just to point out, Venonat and Butterfree share these similarities:
- Same eyes, mouth, and teeth
- Same antennae
- Same hands
- Both are the only out of all five of these Pokemon to have pronounced feet
- Both are the same purple
Caterpie and Venomoth have the following similarities:
- Both originally had six legs
- Both have the closest resembling eyes out of these five Pokemon
- Venomoth actually resembles an insect far more than Butterfree, particularly Caterpie's general shape (Metapod actually moreso)
- Both share an antennae-crest atop their heads
New info on Gfaqs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/98955...rsion/56398506
After a quick view:
-Dark/Dragon pseudo-legendary with Levitate that evolves at lv 64
-Lots of stuff with 140+ attack/sp. attack
-Dragon/Ice counterpart to Reshiram and Zekrom with balanced stats (like Rayquaza with a bit less power and more HP) but crappy ability (Pressure)
-Legendary trio with good offensive stats and speed
-Fire starter sucks (fire/fighting with low speed), water is meh due to its low speed, grass has potential
-Bug/Fire pokemon with good stats, too bad it's murdered by entry hazards
-Mono Electric with Levitate
-Zoroark is the new Lucario (low defenses, great atk/sp.atk/speed)
Also:
New sprites: http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/pokemon.shtmlAccording to leaked ROM data, in Generation V, all of Rotom's formes lose their secondary Ghost-type and gain the type of the special attack they learn: Electric / Grass, Electric / Fire, Electric / Water, Electric / Ice, Electric / Flying.
Hmm. Since we're able to link generations, this means that we're still going to see a lot of the same stuff in PvP play.
Although Rotom's gonna be messed up with the type changes. Bleah.
To the new bull pokemon..

Wish I could read japanese![]()
English patch shouldn't be too far behind.
Dunno, do groups even translate pokemon games anymore? English version comes out in Spring, so it seems like a waste of time. Diamond and SS were easy in JP, but someone on /vp/ mentioned BW was harder somehow, time to find out.
I'm guessing he meant patch for the menus and names and stuff like that. I'm not sure we'll be seeing a fully translated game.
Game looks awesome, but I can't get EXP lol. wtb AP patch
They completely changed the whole metagame in this generation.
There are ridiculously powerful attacks (180 BP, 95 acc fire move and two 140 BP, 90 acc, drawback-free Ice attacks) and they gave broken abilities to otherwise unused pokemon... Ninetales gets Drought, Politoed Drizzle, Blaziken Speed Boost, 2-3 new pokemon get Shadow Tag, Seaking gets Lightning Rod(which now gives Electric immunity and raises sp.atk 1 stage if hit by those attacks) and Gliscor gets Poison Heal among others.
In terms of new pokemon art, I think this might be the worst generation yet. In terms of gameplay, however, I think this may fix everything I hated about the metagame.
I don't know, some of the changes to abilities on underused pokemon could be beneficial, but I just don't see how new abilities are going to somehow propel some of the shittiest pokemon like Ninetails into a usable status. Not unless these new abilities come with massive overhauls to their movepools and stat distribution.
The only thing that's really jumping out at me is that the 180 BP moves could really change things a bit, depending on who has access to them, and the 140+ Atk/Sp. Atk pokes will dominate the meta provided they don't have godawful HP/Speed/Defenses. Plus, without any noticeable alterations to stealth rock, it's going to continue to shut down pokemon in the meta that would otherwise be totally viable.
The game keeps interesting me the more I hear about it, but unless the triple battles somehow become the standard for the metagame, I can't see the changes doing a whole lot to alter the playing field.
