And two events coming up, one for shinies of the beast trio with special moves and one for "ash's pikachu" which has special moves. Can get the three beasts from game stop three different weeks out of jan. and the pikachu near the end of jan into feb at toys r us.

Out of curiosity, is there anyway to check if a specific store is participating in this without calling them up? no toys-r-us within' a reasonable distance from me so that event is out anyway, but I'd be willing to drive the 100 miles to Gamestop, just don't want to get there and find out they're not participating in the event. if I have to call them to check I will, was just hoping I didn't have to.

Haven't done any of the wifi events before so I'm new to it.

Can someone explain to me how the 'fake store events' work.
IE: http://www.pkmdb.com/ "Project Pokémon Event Database", and http://www.projectpokemon.org/ in general.
Is this for roms only, or?

Using Pokesav you can take the data files from those sites, merge them into your Pokemon save file and then when you go to mystery gift, the wonder card will be there as if you had actually received it from the event.

There was another method that involved using your Wi-Fi connection to connect to an unofficial server somebody set up that mimicked the official Nintendo WFC server and then the creator placed various Pokemon on there for download. I only read about that here on BG and never got the chance to try it out myself.

The only way I've gotten the event pokemon were through Marriland. You just trade them trade fodder shit and they give you the actual event pokes, like Darkrai, Celebi, etc.

ALso.. are there any special things coming with Pokemon White/Black pre-orders? if so, I'm gonna pre-order it.

closest one to me is about 100 miles away, give or take a few miles. closest store we have here in terms of gamestop as far as gaming goes is kmart, and the selection of gaming stuff here sucks compared to most kmart stores.

I like the trips and getting out of this town and all, I just don't like driving on the highway by myself.

My Target got 100 of these games the other day. That's just insane considering we usually never get more than 10 of a specific game per console and never sell out.
I was a bit tempted to buy this game, but all of the new retarded pokemon turned me off of it completely.

There is also a special edition DS that comes with a Pokemon game. do they really think people are going to by a new DS with the 3DS coming out incredibly soon?

and idk if other stores are doing this too (I assume so), but if you buy 1 of the games you get a free artbook.
