Probably not.

I played the translated patch, which was pretty much almost fully translated (including story) and I got maybe 2 badges before I got bored. Never finished soul silver either, lol. Just have to be in the mood to play through it.

Although once you do get in the mood for some pokemans, it should be worth it.

Yeah, it's the same as any pokemon game, if you want to play it you'll enjoy it, if not you'll pick it up for a couple hours and end up bored as hell. Personally I don't give two shits about the story or anything, it's always the same junk over and over again. I've just been playing it for PvP and the metagame for years upon years.
