You only need to use one HM in this game, cut. At the very start. Everything else is for optional stuff.

Meh, it could be that im balls deep in demons souls atm. Just beat the first gym leader and finished up the dreamyard stuff.

I remember why I hated pokemon as a little kid, xp share wasn't available right from the start, so I always just leveled up my starter pokemon and nothing else.

Tropius: Cut, Strength, Fly
Golduck: Surf, Dive, Waterfall, Flash

Both common in areas post Elite 4.

I told myself I was done with this series after D/P, but between this and reusable TMs I'm seriously considering picking this game up.

How are the 3v3 battles? Seems like the most interesting addition to me but I'm not seeing a whole lot of talk surrounding them.

I told myself that after D/P, and picked up HG/SS, told myself I was done after that, and here I am playing B/W. If you're a fan and you're not completely jaded about the series, it's a good buy. The story is an actual story, lots of improvements, etc.

3v3 battles are pretty awesome, it's a concept I plan to build a couple teams around and play against other people with. They make it so that the middle pokemon on either side is the only one capable of being hit by all three pokemon on the other side, so it's a little bit of added strategy in deciding who needs to be in the center point. Should lead to some pretty interesting stuff if more people start taking an interest in making teams for it.

Odds are though a lot of people will stick to 1v1 matches, because 3v3 requires an entirely different way of looking at movesets (no running EQ heavy teams, surf, etc).

I never really liked 2v2 so 3v3s aren't big with me. The 2v2s with wild poke annoy me more than anything else. But to each their own.
