Whimsicott is a beast, but Whim vs. Breloom, the SubPuncher would send the SubSeeder home crying.

What the hell would you even teach Whimsicott?

Just by looking at its stats, it looks like it could get OHKOd np.

Whimsicott's Prankster gives it priority on anything that isn't an attack. Substitute, Leech Seed, Taunt/Encore, Stun Spore/Toxic. Every move goes first, Whimsicott can always set up a sub before you can hit it, gets back significant chunks of it's HP with Leech Seed and Leftovers, forces switches on anything that needs to set up or any walls, and can lay down a Toxic or Paralyze on any sweeper before it can act.

Am I the only one whos playing with just 1 pkmn? I just bet the 7th gym with my 60 Emboar, and havent ever used another pkmn. Some how this game seems waaay easier than the others. I havent gamed over yet.

    Rollout is boss.

Elektross VS Galvantula.... Elektross has no weaknesses... but Galvantula has a lot of resistances. Help me out!

They're both good. Elektross is an amazing mixed attacker with a great split between Atk and SpAtk along with no weaknesses, but it suffers from it's low speed. Galvantula is great for it's odd typing and amazing coverage, compound eyes and it's speed is nothing to scoff at either. Galvantula's biggest drawback is that it's defenses border on awful, and it has a weakness to Rock and Fire, which are both pretty prominent this generation.

Both are good, it really depends on your team's needs. If you need more type coverage, I think Galvantula is your best bet with Bug Buzz and compoundeyes Thunder. You can also give it Energy Ball for more type coverage or Volt Switch to scout out opponents more easily; for the last slot a Hidden Power is usually suggested, but since that's not all that reasonable to mess with in the main game, I think I gave it Thunder Wave just to have a reliable paralyze.
Eelektross gets some nice type coverage as well, but it wouldn't be quite as strong as a high-accuracy thunder for destroying electric-weak enemies. You can make it a good mixed attacker with Wild Charge/Brick Break along with Grass Knot and Flamethrower for additional coverage, or go all out special with its somewhat rare Acid Spray to act as a pseudo-Nasty Plot with Thunderbolt, Flamethrower and Grass Knot. You could also make a pure physical build with Coil, Wild Charge, Dragonclaw/Dragontail, and this has the added effect of boosting its Defense to make it harder to bring down.

    Team's sittin' at:
Lv.47 Bouffalant with Bulldoze, Megahorn, Head Charge and Wild Charge
Lv.48 Emboar with Wild Charge, Hammer Arm, Flamethrower and Heat Stamp
Lv. 48 Haxorus with Dig, Poison Jab, Dragon Dance and Dragon Claw
Lv. 47 Rufflet with Air Slash, Retaliate, Crush Claw and Rock Slide
Lv. 44 Beartic with Surf, Strength, Icicle Crash and Brick Break(He's more or less an HM whore)
Lv. 42 Carracosta with Aqua Jet, Crunch, Shell Break and Smack Down

The first four are basically my mains atm, Beartic and Carracosta are my party fillers pretty much, Carra keeps fainting, Beartic was good but is getting one-shotted a lot now... Elite Four kicked my ass, lol. Any recommendations for replacements for the last two? Was thinking of Jellicent, Sawsbuck, Golurk, or Ferrothorn, but I'm open to other suggestions.

The ice pokemon suck in this game, best one is Vanillish. A psychic with Shadow Ball is pretty good against the Elite Four too.

Archeops with Dragon Claw wrecked some shit too, sadly you picked Carracosta :<

Carracosta is boss. Priority stab move is the shit. He's also sturdy as fuck (unless you have sturdy, that ability sucks).

Archeops has one of the highest non legendary base stat totals in the game :> Acrobatics and Stone Edge one hit almost everything plus U-Turn so you don't get screwed by his Ability. Crunch was also pretty sweet but I didn't need it so much on my team so used Dragon Claw instead for elite 4. His defense is really awful though so gotta get that OHKO.

I haven't played a pokemon since blue and after reading some info around different places I'm a little confused on some things.

Mostly wondering on the effects of the natures and what EV points(?) are. Anyone able to explain these to a dummy or link to some good info on them?

Nature list. Ignore the part about flavors.

General EV info. EVs were in the games in red and blue also. But now EVs have limits which make them used more for strategery. (In the old games you could max EVs on all stats).

Jellicent and Sawsbuck got me through the elite four pretty well. Under Rokku's advice I took a Throh with me as a trump card against the last boss's Hydreigon (without knowing you got to access the PC inside the last area), but I hardly used him in the elite four battles except for the dark guy's Liepard and Scrafty. I think I used Galvantula the most; between Signal Beam, Volt Change and Thunder, I had decent coverage and could swap out without losing momentum. Shauntal was the one that gave me the most trouble since I didn't pack any dark moves really.

My team for the E4 was: lv 54 Emboar, lv 49 Galvantula, lv 48 Jellicent, lv 49 Throh, lv 47 Sawsbuck, lv 50 Excadrill

Man, I feel underleveled. My team was mostly just 5 pokes on the E4, all around level 47-48ish, and then for the finale, it was basically 4 party members since I didn't want to use Zekrom, and my other was my synchronizer to get the proper nature'd Zekrom, lol.

What the hell. Deino takes lvl 64 to get to his final form @_@

Also, is it just me or is Serperior overall kinda meh. I originally got him because he was the coolest looking of this gens trio, but his subpar attack stats are making me want to replace him even though he was my starter x.x

Whats a good spot to grind xp post-game? Most of my team is in the mid 50s and I'm trying to get them up to around 70.

Well, there's places you can go to battle trainers (The two stadiums are full of trainers daily), then you can fight Audino's in Giant Chasm, which are 52-55ish. You can go to the Royal Unova ship every night at a certain time.

Yeah I'd like to know too lol, first post-game battle I have was against 3 level 65s. Least my Braviary evolved after the final battle. Ended up using a Golurk for the E4. His Shadow Punch with Iron Fist was great, one-shotting all of Shauntal's team. Earthquake floored anything else, and Heavy Slam or Curse for whatever I didn't have an advantage to.
