Who said anything about grinding?

So.. what poke could you use to take through and 'facerape' all the gyms with? are you talking about just the gyms? or the E4 + Ghestis/N and the whole shabang?

By the way, if you only used one poke through the whole thing, it means he'd obviously get all the exp and completely outlevel any and everything you run into..which would sort of be 'grinding'

I pretty much used Serperior and rarely Unfezant through everything to N (used Zehkrom for N since he was new). Not until afterwards did I actually start building a real team and then used that for the E4 rematch, cynthia, morimoto, ect. I guess I have a different idea of grinding, like how I spent like 5+ hours grinding in victory road to beat the E4 in SS and never had to do any type of non main story line in White. I'm not saying white is bad anything, just in my opinion it is easier, I still love it.

Ah.. well, I'm guessing you were around 60ish when you beat the first E4 plus N/Ghestis? I was around 46-48ish tops. As for grinding for five hours in Victory Road before the E4 on SS.. yeah, I never had to do any of that. >.> Only trainer I had issues with was Lance, because let's be honest.. Ice/Dragon options weren't plentiful at that point.

I've never seen it before, so I don't think so. In fact, I just got done breeding a decent Solosis, but kept getting Overcoat. Was like "GDI /toss"

The reason I ask is, my friend hatched a shiny mienfoo. It had an alright nature and Regenerator as its ability. Once he finished EV training it, he evolved it and apparently it switched from Regenerator to Inner Focus. I don't know that doesn't make much sense to me.

That doesn't happen, ever. All of the abilities are in set chains, anything with two static abilities will never switch to the other ability. Even in cases where the abilities are different between evolutions, there's no way for an ability to somehow mutate out of itself or it's linear progression.

If it changed it was either a bad pokesav/AR job or it never actually had Regenerator to begin with.

Pick your poison. They're all about equally useful(useless) in the grand scheme of things. Oshawott and Tepig are better attackers than Smugleaf though. Smugleaf's final evo is more defensive than anything else, so if you're looking for something marginally useful go with Osha or Tepig.

Basically this. I wouldn't say any of the starters make the game 'easier', but I've played through the game three times with each starter and I would have to say that Oshawott/Tepig are much better to just try and get through the game. As far as Snivy goes, it is much better competitively.

Ok I shouldn't have turned cheat codes on.

First it was the 2x walk speed, but that wasn't enough. Then I needed max money, then all tms/hms, then 2x battle exp. It never ends! Luckily I only made it as far as getting my running shoes before I realized that the 2x speed was ridiculous, and that both of my pokemon at level 11 with decent skill sets was too much.
