Actually, its true. This is how I lvled my BLU way back when. Too an IT Marid and then just killed Chigoes.

They they nerfed it and limited the ammount of Chigoes that can pop So nowadays you have to do it on sheep instead, which is nowhere near as good, but still good.

It starts off around 80~100k/hr, but quickly drops off around 54-55ish, and we usually stop around 57 (~66k exp) in around 50 mins or so.

It's good but it's not 80k/hr unless you have an unholy amount of PLs. Realistically it can surpass a good merit party and hit 50k/hr or so, nice but nothing uber.

Logged out in Terrigan last night, saw this when I logged on, afk, figured it was /towning or whatever. Come back 5 hours later and it's fighting crabs wearing the same gear as it afk'd in. Marid Belt, Unicorn hands/feet/cap/legs, campaign neck with +4vit, ring that does not yield.

I did marid chigoes on my BLM in Bhaflau waaaay back when ToAU first came out. I'm just more surprised that people still actually did it. Marid chigoes weren't terrible, but at the time we weren't doing much more than 15k/hr. Now, that was in the 60s, so that is fairly decent, but we were also killing the marids in the party as well.

You can't get 80k/h, it's impossible.

350 exp/kill, one kill every 15 secs = 84k/hour. 15 seconds per kill isn't really unreasonable, since 2 pls will have at least one chigoe up 95% of the time, and take probably around 15 secs to pop one (at least with kc; my ls has one kc+1 joyeuse pl). Mp isn't too hard to keep up really since they only have 350 hp, and we have evoker's, ballad, sanction, and usually refresh for 7-8/tic refresh, and with 3-4 blms, you've always got at least 1 person resting too. We also use a third pl for curebotting, so no need for in party cures, or wasting mp on ss/blink or worse subbing nin.

We usually come out closer to 70~75k/hr. It takes us around 50-60 mins usually to get 51->57 (66k exp). However replacing syncs sooner could easily get us over 80k/hr, since exp drops off significantly after 55 or so.

Though if you want to use a mule, you could easily bot delevel. Not hard to setup a bot to walk forward, and press enter every so often.
