This argument is idiotic. His point was during the time actually spent xp'ing, they get very strong xp. Every single thing in the game can be shown to take a lot more time due to set up (ie, einherjar is only 30 minutes, salvage is 100, but when you factor in gather times/assaults, its longer).
Deleveling your sync mule (dont know why you stated it has to be the cor) can be easily done dual boxing.
Finally, its quite easy to pull 50k/hr in astral burn if your pullers don't suck. Yes, I am including travel time back to bastok to change jobs/wild card.
I think Pchan needs a new insult. This commenting on post count is retarded seeing as Pchan himself has over 2,000 posts and 98% of the shit he spews is garbage.
so what about the other 2% ????
And the Wild Ninian raged

I saw the gear and made a sad face. Then I mis-read the LS name as "SweetHomo" and lol'd
ABing is awesome because you can make a sandwich, take a shit, do w/e basically the entire hour and still make 40k/hour on the low side
I'd much rather that than some method where i gotta spend the entire duration focused and unable to get up just to get a few k more an hour.
assuming not puller ofc
As fucking much as I hate to say anything on this subject. It can be efficient but god damn does it ever breed a lot of lazy fucks as well.
So many players I've seen who've AB'd their asses to 75 have no sense, no idea, & no fucking clue the foggiest of how their jobs work.
I did an AB once a long time ago and never did it again. It honestly felt like I was just cheating myself out from the enjoyment of leveling a job.
Why is it only average players that don't have a deeper understanding of mechanics themselves that think AB breeds idiots? If someone wants to get 75, they'll get it, doesn't matter how. If that someone is intelligent, they'll be able to play their job at 75, no matter how they leveled it.
Yeah but without AB that disgrace of a player never would have had time to level DRG/PLD/DRK/WHM/SMN in such a short period of time between camps. AB essentially multiplied their fail potential in the short term.
EDIT: Not that this applies to anyone here specifically but a lot of people who say shit like "I don't need to play a job to know how to play it" think they're a lot better than they are.
This is how AB works.
If you're a good player, know at least the basics of the game mechanics, and know how to do a little research, you'll be perfectly fine after AB'ing with a minimal learning curve.
If you're a shitty player, chances are you'd be shitty whether you lv'd it regularly or AB'd it, so makes no difference anyways.
If they were really a shitty player. They would have more than likely quit Final Fantasy XI before even reaching their first 75. Course, the ones who do reach 75 and are still shitty are more than likely the cancer that is killing Final Fantasy XI, casuals.
Just putting this in some perspective. After all, time was if you got PL'ed you were a lazy bastard who wasn't going to learn your job properly, you made having healers in your party a bad thing, blah blah blah.
Point is as has been said they'd be retarded even without the AB.
They're the same people that don't learn basic shit about their jobs and the game such as how to invite people, make parties, etc. Then they have to learn all the simple things they should have learned while leveling during an event such as salvage.
Let me give you an example, there is a guy named Ayg on Quetz. This guy is such a moron. He doesn't bother to read up on anything and makes us carry his damn weight, and is so obvious he is clueless about anything.
He has done the following things in salvage and remember he comes as cor and whm and has been coming for several months now:
-He doesn't get assault points long before salvage time
-Did not know what Light Shot did until we had a link with gears
-Did not pick up any essential rolls for salvage such as mnk roll until he came back from "quitting"
-Does not know what lucky numbers are for what for rolls
-He did not bring a weapon to speed up our kills on the first floors
-He tries to skill up shit while doing salvage
-He died to a rampart three times in a roll within under a minute
-He watched a movie while in the middle of salvage as whm
-He takes five seconds to cure someone
-He does not know what moves enemies do and as such can't erase and paralyna
-Tired to Benediction with no access to Job Abilities
-He does not haste
-Caused all of us to wipe to Bhaflau Remnants within the first few minutes of entering salvage, because he couldn't kick some afk thf and some how the alliance got dissolved. Making us lose all our cells and getting raped by bombs.
I would recommend not doing Salvage with him then
We actually do great when he doesn't come. He is just a liability.
