Im confused how that SAM did that poorly since hes using more gear than most people of a similar level.... even if most of it is vanilla.

Mythril Ring iirc...and the party went on for a standard 2ish hours so the mandies must have been VERY random for it to be a consistent 5-7% ; ~;

So you're comparing a SAM, a job with nothing decent to offer until 50, to a WAR who just got sturmwind and a DRG who has piercing bonus? There are 6 DD there, so someone cycled out, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with his gear. On top of that, the DRG has over twice as many swings with a similar delay weapon, either he was a replacement or he was AFK.

I fail to see where I mentioned the SAM compared to the WAR. I believe all I did was posted the SAM's gear, said he was gimp, then posted the parse so that people who showed the slightest bit of interest in it could look at it.

Assuming the mythril ring had augments(and i'm sure it did, since it's an expansion key item, though you'll deny it), he had exactly ONE gimp slot, legs. Him being low on the parse is attributed to him not being in the entire party, seeing as a dragoon with nearly the same delay(if they used a spear it's 396 vs 405 since no haste buffs and sam has hasso, if they used a lance they had more) had twice his swings.

So his gear is okay and his damage is okay, what's gimp exactly? Screw off.

Why can't the SAM be gimp for not getting a polearm? People have been called out for being gimp in 50 and 70 bird parties for using Gkatana instead of polearm, it's not like DRG has a better WS or weapon in the 20s or something.

Spears have terrible TP/second and produce gimpy WS. SAM's first 480 polearm is couse at 60, while DRG gets real options from the get-go. Couse is decent synced in 50s, not sure about 20s, but it's irrelevant unless he's already >60. I don't know the guy, I just don't see how he's in any way gimp. He did less damage when he was engaged/in party for less than half the time? No shit. His gear is fine.

Good point. Also he should have subbed RNG for the accuracy bonus trait as well.

I have to say as much as I don't want to agree with Thorny on this. A DRG out the gate gets some pretty awesome shit. SAM gets Decent once they get Meditate but even then Enpi Sucks at early levels. Now you wanna talk about sexy DMG, Try a THF in the Dunes sub WAR with a Sword. I leveled Synched there once ages ago out of bordom and clocked an IT gob with a Sneak Attack Fast Blade for 220.
