Does MNK need to get 26% haste gear in order to max out haste? If I recall correctly it was shown that items with greater than 6% haste act differently than those that are less than 6.
Just trying to figure out if Tiercel Necklace is something I should be looking at in high ACC settings.

Yes you need 26 to cap, but rly, sitting at 24 and a fraction, going to 25, would probably end up being less of an increase than justice torque's 5 str in capped acc, if uncapped keep the acc necks on.

Full usukane + BB is 253/1024 so it would only be 3/1024 haste or 0.3%. Aka shit. 1 attack is probably better, 2-3 attack with double march, 1 fstr regarless of buffs, etc.

Hi, I recently 'upgraded' to Windows 7 64 bit, and my controllers have stopped working. I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the controllers as they work with all other games, even the FFXI config and I've tried two.

So my question is, does anyone have any controllers that work with Windows 7 64 bit?

Double checked config, with my 360 controller, movement/buttons are fine but camera will only move from the bottom left to the top right and the d pad wont move, anyone else experience something like that?

So I came back from a little break and read up on this magian moogle stuff on the wiki, but I was wondering for Samurai is the Gkt better then hagun? and which Gkt? The mutli hit one seems pretty nice but I don't know if its better than a high base damage one or not? Basically: Which Gkt is best if they are better then Hagun?

If you have a terra's staff and a basic zerg set you can be fine for DRK tanking. Other things worth looking into are a max hp set for dread spikes and PDT/MDT sets like any tank would use. Enmity set is nice, but hardly required to cap hate.

It works great for many things, and is about on par with sam. Not quite as good as rdm or pld defensively, but they're good enough, and hold hate well, and can even dish out so damage while tanking. The biggest difference between sam is usually going to be that sam does more damage, but drk holds hate better, since they have stun, sleep, blind, lr, etc if needed. Biggest difference from pld is that drk does more damage, but can't cure, except with drains, which won't land on all hnm, and also take a bit more damage of course (which is usually pretty insignificant).

pdt gear mostly. Standard melee gear for when shadows are up, and pdt gear when you're about to get hit.
Pretty much anything a pld would dd, a drk can do just as well as pld, while doing more damage.

You feel? Ok, so? It's nowhere near the ~2:1 ratio BLM sees. 7 MND beats the piss out of 4 MAB for Magic Hammer. A 10k pair of pants is better than a unique mini-expansion reward, we're not even talking something that's hard to get. It's not viable.

As Yugl noted, neither is the WS setup unless you're really lacking in accuracy.

Actually now that I think about it, can Punisher make a good substitute for Ridill assuming you don't have one? Like Maneater/Punisher with 8/8 Axe merits assuming you have to go /nin to the event?

Yes i'm using the normal drivers, of course you can't use the two top buttons without getting some drivers that win7 will not let you install (Without jumping deep into the windows system and changing a few things, and its really not worth the time it took to get it.) Logitech was just a plug and play.

I don't really understand how Synergy works, I wasn't playing when it was added, etc. Now with that out of the way:

Do I need any actual Synergy skill to get something Synergized for me? Like let's say I want a Shikkoku Togi, can I just dumb the Aptant & Harness in the pot and let other people with the appropriate skills Synergize for me?

You don't need any skill but you need to do the initial quest. I synergised for a friend who had zero skill and you can't touch the furnace until you've done the initial 'learn what synergy is' quest. He handled the furnace claim and traded the crap and then the crafter does the synergy. The person who traded crap has to finish synth and retrieve item. So when the crafter says end it you have to fast.

No, dw is worthless without ridill. Use a ga. It's the best main hand weapon with ridill though.
