Should probably note I have no movement speed, as I don't have an LS that does sky and my weird work schedule makes it so I can't really adhere to most Linkshells run times

Can get some ghetto wlegs for mvt+8 from shantoto legs. It probably won't help you break into the solo's that need mvt+ but it may help you gain some breathing room on non-needed mvt speed fights.

A question for those that camped La Velue, the tiger NM in Batallia Down [s] for magian, how do you go about doing this? When i did widescan, there are either one more tiger in the group or one less than what wiki stated lol.

I am now by the 3 trees on the line for G-7/8 doing widescan, does the PH always spawn near the trees and 6th on the scan list?

Edit: Nvm, got it to pop , guess i got the hang of it.

I saw him standing around in Evasion gear so I assume it's just a case of fatties not being able to evade. :3

I know you said you got it, but I'm camping it right now on Odin. I'm at the G/H-8 Line a bit to the East of the big stone sticking out at the top of the hill. As wiki says there will be a bunch of 29 smilodon, #10 is the PH. Took me about 2-3 hours, but finally popped only killing #10 every 5 minutes.

If you put that in ROM/26/21.dat and log out/in it'll number all of the smilodons in that group for you. Completely untracable unless you say <t> in any form of chat(macros that target it are fine, /p <t> ingame or in macro isn't). To be more clear, any sort of action with <t> is fine as long as it's not chat.. not that they monitor it, slipped up with these dats dozens of times and never had an issue since you could've just typed out the #.

Just in case someone doesn't have widescan or wanted a more convenient method.

I'm trying to get better about lowmaning/soloing on my RDM. What are some good mobs/BCNMs/KSNMs/whatever to solo for a person trying to get better?

First thing I ever fought on RDM besides FoV EPs and DCs was Fe'e in Up in Arms. RDM/SCH, it's very easy. Cookbook recipe on my LJ, but honestly it's pretty self-explanatory.

Random non FFXI related question but does anyone know why my computers sound would suddenly stop working? I hear some static coming from the speakers but I don't hear anything when I turn it all the way up. I even tried plugging my headphones in and they got no sound either. I checked the volume control thing in the control board as well, no dice.

So I am thinking of switching to Sandy in the past, but I really like how Windy's story is going.

Now my question is, if I switch to Sandy, I know I can still do Windy's WOTG questline, do I need to do Sandy's to unlock the WOTG missions, or can I still just do Windy's?

For using Quick Draw with corsair, does switching to an HQ staff only increase the accuracy of the shot, or the damage as well?

Example Ice Shot does 170 damage average on tough mobs (at Lv52) with NQ ice staff. Should I expect it to do maybe 180~ with Aquilo's Staff?

Also, does AGI affect damage?

Doh, that stinks. What notable magic attack bonus gear should I look into for when I get to higher levels? It seems like there's none other than moldy earring right now.
