Okay so after being a career mage I am leveling MNK.

I did want to ask for WS like Asuran Fists thats 8-fold attack, is it just better to go all out acc for the WS since the mods are only 10% vit 10% strength?

Yes, fuck the mods, stack accuracy. Acc is extremely important just because of how many hits this stupid WS has. Even at capped acc you only have a 2/3 chance of landing all 8, so you can imagine how bad it gets with worse accuracy.

Also even if a WS has a mod of only DEX, str would still increase its damage right?

Yes. I'm not a mathologist but I believe it has something to do with fSTR plus the side effect of increasing Attack.

I ask because I am getting the kupo helm with 4str +15 ws acc, 10acc +5 atk augments and thats 25 acc from one piece, should I keep going or can I do str on the other slots? Also how much acc do I want for some easy EM stuff vs say gods?

Once you hit 95% hit rate there is no sense stacking any more accuracy. Keep in mind also that Asuran Fists cannot crit or double attack, so WSing in things like Brutal Earring or Byakkos (if you are at capped accuracy) is pointless.

Vs. gods I'm pretty sure HF or DK would put out better numbers, but I don't remember the last time I went to gods as a MNK.

Hated, no. Most people don't care about that kind of thing beyond the people actually affected, their friends, and the Dudley Dorights who'd have a similar attitude about you using ApRadar or SGM.

People will judge your based on it though, so it'll affect your reputation (which is pretty lol amongst most informed people anyway) and chances at getting into decent shells.

I don't give a shit about a ninja'd pair of haidate. But I wouldn't take someone like that to an event with real money on the line if they stole something that can be done in a week tops with a couple friends and a shout by anyone mildly competent.

You can't shout up 12ish people and reserve an item? I mean, Byakko can lay out a tank when he gets in the mood to, but he's not exactly hard to kill.

We're actually in sky killing 5 byakko's right now. Their only excuse for me not to get one is: "You need to put in more time and then you get gear"

Just join a fucking horrid shell and work hard for like a few weeks, then peace out as soon as you get Haidate. Literally: "Thetaru obtains a pair of Byakko's haidate." -> "Thetaru uses a Scroll of Instant Warp." -> "You throw away a pearlsack." Bam, done.

It worked for me.

If there is no point system or some way to account for how many events you attended or what participation you have given outside of leader discretion, then I highly advise you gtfo that shell. A system like that is too easy manipulated by cliques in linkshells, wouldn't trust that shit. You shouldn't expect to get gear though without putting in time, I don't subscribe to the "join ls get gear and leave" I personally despise people like that.
