What pieces of gear would I need to get a 100% interruption rate on RDM? W/ Aquaveil of course.

if recast calculated when the spell takes effect, then wouldn't using FC->haste gear technically allow you to recast the spell sooner?

i.e. both setups result in 20sec recast until next cast, but your 20%~ FC gear on RDM allows you to finish stoneskin 1 sec earlier, means the 20sec recast time begins sooner, effectively giving you a shorter time until you can cast again?

    hope that was clear

The gear before the spell starts alters casting time, gear when the spell ends alters recast time... so yes, but very marginal, and if anything it adds more gear since you can start in FC then swap to haste (RDM, Relic Body > Goliard, for example)

But don't Tabard and Saoi give exactly the same recast reduction by virtue of recast time being rounded down? No one ever seemed to refute this, but I still see people telling others to end their casts in Saio/Turban instead of Tabard/Chapeau. I suppose if the slightly increased reduction from Haste pushed you just over a boundary and therefore shaved off an extra second it would clearly be better, but how likely is that to be the case for spells where a low recast is crucial (e.g. Ichi/Ni, Erase)?

If you use spellcast it isn't hurting you, and many people won't want to calculate their individual haste amount. There are cases where it'll save a second, many more cases where it won't. Unless you aren't carrying them on you anyway(and both are decent convert pieces/good cere dagger or other melee pieces) then it doesn't hurt you at all to put them in the macro and many people are unsure or unable to calculate their individual recast.

I doubt you have an argument for April since you had access to it for 20 days in that month. As for May, it's only been 3 days so I'm not sure, maybe if it's locked down the entire month? I wouldn't get your hopes up though. Can try since they will refund server hops after the investigation is done if they found evidence of hacking, but tbh the refund itself takes a LONG TIME, like months and months.

Yeah, thing is, SE always charges the full month even if you activate your account on April 30th. That's not news. If you are unplayable for the full month of May, then you might be able to make a complaint, but don't expect a great deal of satisfaction.

the sushi build uses more attack gear than the meat build (especially during WS)
Yeah, and the bold is important because meat doesn't work on WS.

God, did you give pchan your bg account? someone check the IPs.

Also, please show to me that ace's/toredor is gimp, I'm interested in the math to show that Turban+Blitz + capping acc with sushi is bigger than Using Ace's+Toredor and nearing 90% acc with meat. (Birds ofc)

To be fair he did say 'attack gear' not attack, which is a true statement, i.e. the advantage in attack that kabob gives is reduced by the fact that you have to throw on more acc gear during WS for a kabob build (if you check his math, attack for meat build is still higher than the sushi build).

And I do belive he was adressing StevenW with that gear, hence no awesome gear as I doubt he'd ever get his hands on that...
I could do the maths to check the diff between meat/sushi-build with better gear but I can't be arsed atm, but meat build should come closer to sushi, but dunno if it'll beat it.

Aqua, eremite x2, magnetic, willpower torque, solitaire cape, and 3 merits is the best way, since you don't lose any haste. If you don't have magnetic you can switch to Karasutengu Kogake, which would allow you to drop the merits, or willpower torque. A dirt cheap alternative would be druid rope, but obviously you lose more haste in the belt slot than feet. Remember you need 102% as per the gear description.

Recasts aren't rounded down. At least not to the second.

I have no idea why people still think meat builds are ok in may 2010. Failure did the maths of meat versus sushi for polearm sam like one year ago and found sushi to win easilly. idk why people keep asking the same questions, use the god damn search function, noob.

To answer your question, the meat polearm sam has two option for WS: not capping ws acc , and usemore attack instead ( we all know this is stupid), or capping accuracy at the cost of attack. he needs +32 accuracy, which is 95/80=+18.7% increase ( ignoring double attacks). The max attack he can put in head/gloves/feet/belt will be +8 ( head), +20 ( gloves), +6 ( feet) , +12 belt, total +46 attack, which is

    ((432+60+46)*(0.4+1.25*0.6)/337-0.35)
    /
    ((432+60+0)*(0.4+1.25*0.6)/3337-0.35)
=+11.8% increase in cRATIO, w/o dia and w/o attack buffs, best case scenario for meat.

there for the meat SAM is better off capping WS accuracy than increasing its attack.

And now that I think about it i could use the +12 attack belt on the sushi build ( or warwolf belt) because it is already at the accuracy cap, so the difference in attack during WS is even smaller ( less than 10).

What makes you say this? There is an overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary.

Such as the fact that 1% Haste will always, to my knowledge, reduce the recast time of any spell by one second.

I'm pretty sure that's not right. I remember once, years ago, adding an extra 1% Haste to my NIN with a new piece of gear and seeing that while it took 1 second off the recast for Utsusemi: Ni, it did not reduce recast for Utsusemi: Ichi.

I guess it's possible that I had already hit the minimum recast, but I don't think so.
