Spoiler warning: non-final build of Gears of War 3 leaked

It appears an early build of Gears of War 3 has leaked to the Internet, which allegedly includes the full campaign and multiplayer modes and may be an E3 build. After looking around, this turns out to be a developer build or "JTAG" version of the game, which means you need to have a special modified Xbox 360 or a dev kit to run it.

While this doesn't mean the game can be pirated in the traditional sense of the word, as it's not exactly easy to JTAG your console for the average person, it does mean that places like YouTube and streaming sites may become a haven for spoiler-rich Gears of War 3 content.

So be warned guys. If you want to remain spoiler-free, know that you may not get what you wish for when you click on a Gears of War 3 titled video or stream from now on. Even scrolling through the NeoGAF thread that first alerted us to the issue showed some potential spoilers, although I can't verify if they are real or not. I'm just going to pretend I never saw them.

Also that Baird Dies thing has been up for months. Before the beta even, its a recut of a gears 1 cutscene.

We have a sneaking suspicion that Epic Games' Joe Graf may actually be a real-life hobbit in disguise, because he's giving everyone else presents on his birthday. In celebration of his 42 years of being alive (as well as that whole American freedom thing), Epic Games has turned Gears of War 2's XP knob all the way up to 21-times-normal from now until 9 A.M. EDT on July 5th.

The game has also been tweaked to provide 4-times the normal amount of ammunition for the Hammer of Dawn, as well as the mortar, so those without fireworks can have almost as much fun blowing things up in their living rooms over the holiday weekend. Virtual things, we mean ... let's not nuke the coffee table, alright?

Gears of War 3 will have a casual mode

Stepping into the multiplayer mode of any game is no laughing matter when you're a newbie to the franchise. Experienced players can and will mop the floors with novices, and this creates a tiresome, unfun environment for those newbies.

Gears of War 3 aims to remedy this by offering an all new 'casual' mode. This mode can only be accessed if you are new to the series. If you have any achievements from the first 2 titles, or if you've participated in the beta, then you cannot access the mode. This mode will also incorporate an aim assist.

This sounds great to me -- as a multiplayer addict I can't help but wonder if sometimes us experienced players completely turn off new people from the games we play. I wonder if there is a threshold of some sort that determines whether or not you are good enough to be kicked out of casual mode?

I didn't play multiplayer til Gears 2 and it's not hard to pick up. You just roll around a lot and punch people then shoot them with the shotgun. F'in noobs.
