Kyo and I and some of his friends just finished Beast on Insane, was pretty balling. Ticker for waves 1-11, berserker x2 for wave 12. COG got raped.

As far as that's is concerned, without 4-player coop I don't think this game should be getting anything over 3s. Four players made it a decent co-op, but the game is was mediocre at best. One fight that was actually fun and challenging, and the rest was just snoring from firefight to firefight that never ended with a piss poor story in-between.

Trying out horde/beast tonight so I hope that's a tad more entertaining.

Sounds like you need to play Insane? Hardcore is fuckin fail in this game, it's below normal of Gears 2 imo, because the AI in this game actually does the work for you lol. Insane brings some of the fun back. As for the story, sorry to hear you didn't like it.

Micheal Barrick(Apparently, a balding guy that's in the comics only. Gearspedia mentions him fighting with Delta Squad in early on in the story, but he must've never appeared in-game.)
Minh Young Kim(He was in the Gears Of War 1 campaign.)
Tai Kaliso(The guy with the mohawk in Gears Of War 2.)
RAAM(If you completed the Gears Of War 1 campaign, you'll recognize him immediately.)
Skorge(The guy Dizzy fights in the Gears Of War 2 campaign, and the leader character for the Locust in Gears Of War 2's Guardian multiplayer mode.)
