iPhone advice: to wait for 4g or not to wait

Exactly how big is the iphone hardware upgrade projected to be? I have a 3G but have played with a friends nexus one and I'm really starting to like it. I don't plan on switching from AT&T anytime soon either,so hopefully more options start appearing.

The 4g isn't for "4G speed" That's a Verizon thing. People are just saying 4G because it's the 4th Generation iPhone.

But expect it to get the most use out of the 3G like 3Gs gets more than the 3g.

The big upgrade though should be the processor. Expect either a variation of the A4 of the iPad, or a dual core processor they have available also. Also a screen upgrade to a higher resolution is expected. (960x640 compared to the 480x320 of 3G(s).) That's better than the droid and nexus resolution. This is also the resolution that the "expanded size" apps run on iPad, so that makes it very possible.

LTE is rolling out this year for verizon, I'd really be surprised if the iphone was not offered on verizon when it does. AT&T knows that they won't have exclusive right to the iphone long term as has been seen in interviews. They have said such things, and given subtle hints during interviews.

That being said, I'm looking forward to sprints EVO.... hopefully I can get someone to sign onto my plan and take this touchpro 2 when it comes out.

I'm in a rough spot....... I can either upgrade to a new iphone 4g when it comes out, as one of the added lines is due for another upgrade.

Or I just go back to sprint when the evo comes out...... its just so sexy right now.

I'd wait and see what apple does first, just in case. Unless the hardware upgrade is really very exceptional, go with the evo. Me being stuck with AT&T, I'll probably get a nexus one.

you should wait you never know when a new one will be released and find the new features/apps not working in your old 3gs :D
