where to get a G15(blue)

Ok I need a new keyboard >.< as my old one just started to smoke...(Im send it to a friend to try and fix) but I want to prep for the worst that my G15 is dead, and wont be coming back.

I really hate buying used items, as you can not fully tell what you are going to get. The main thing is that the blue is no longer sold. So where can I pick one up so that its at least "like new" Id like a out of the box one but I know odds of that are almost zero to zilch.

Anyone have a buyer they got one from that they trust? That happens to have a stock pile of 500 or something ~_~?

I got like two days till my friend calls me and gives me the good/bad news. I was looking around, I cant find any sellers(retail) that sell new ones ; ; so I guess what I am asking now.

Any used ones where you bought it from a person you trust?

is this true? Ill aim for that if so ^^ I have found some uses for the LED but I can get use to not having one if the keys work just as well/have as many.

Not sure if they still do this... but when my mouse (MX510 special edition, that was out of warranty) died, I sent a message to logitech and after checking serial and shits, they sent me a new one (a G5, because the MX510 was discontinued, worth hundred at the time) through UPS without even getting the old one back, they asked to send the USB cable of the mouse cut to some adress but never done it and they never inquired about it further.

I remember a friend telling me he did the same with G15, only they asked for a picture of the G15 with the screen broken (yes, they asked him to break it on purpose)

Might have changed but worth a try.

If I'm getting what he is wanting, he wants the old model, with the 18 G keys, not the crap they have now with less. The G11 has the smaller amount. Only the old G15s have the 18.

I saw the G19 but its far to much money. I will look into the 11 and 10, if I can get the screen as well I will. Not a must but its nice at times.

And yes I use almost all the keys so something with close to that is fine too. Can't have to few tho. If I have to I will buy used and hope for the best.

I've been looking forever, they're all second hand and never found anybody I trust.

G11 won't work for me, because the main selling point is the LCD because eVGA precision can spit out temps/stats to it.

If you don't really care about the lcd but like macro keys, you might take a look at this one, i have a older gen g15 around, this keyboard is pretty close to the same qualitywise, metal covered keys, ability to change the keyboard multiple colors, a nice set of macro keys and some cool other features.

You can usually find a G15v1 in new/refurb condition on ebay. G11 is the same thing though, with no LCD.

There's a good chance your friend will be able to fix your G15, though. They're built really solid. I've had mine completely cease function from having water spilled on it and was still able to revive it.

As awesome as the LCD sounds on the G15 in the half a decade I've owned mine I've never really found any cool apps that support it other than Ventrilo. I'd save your money and just buy the G11.

Fun fact: After years and years of playing with the LCD my backlight went out and Logitech won't repair it, at all. I emailed them to find out how much it would cost me and they said they won't touch it. :/

Yeah, I haven't used the LCD once since I switched to a multi-monitor setup. It's just too awkward to look down at the keyboard compared to a quick glance to the side.

The backlight is probably home-repairable, somehow. It's just a bunch of LEDs on a ribbon.

Beats the fuck out of a nasty ass overlay in the corner of your screen. Though I guess this isn't an issue if you have two monitors and want to have the program running all the time or something.
