Not offensive. Don't give a fuck if you show up w/ a zarape or a bigass sombrero w/ the fake stache. Shit's funny if you ask me, I mean look at him:

Oh, the fucking tufts thing. I remember that bullshit.
Not in bad taste, not offensive.
Early 1900s actors being 'yessuh' blackfaces = bad taste/offensive, 2000+s people dressing up as icons who happen to be black = Halloween.
we had a blackguy who wore blackface once, i was unsure of whether or not i would be allowed to laugh at the irony
i did anyway and here i am now.
If someone, or a group of people, feels it is offensive to them, it is offensive to them. End of story.
If you are caucasian and saying "not offensive", or saying really anything, you're pretty much telling another ethnicity how they should feel about their own feelings. Sooooo... yeah this thread will not go well lol.
And if you are the person who is doing the questionably offensive thing, well, prepare for the consequences of potentially offending people.
Are you saying that caucasians can't be empathetic and understand the situation as being offensive if it were? Now *I'M* offended. Not really. He asked if I find it offensive, I gave my answer. I didn't assume there'd be a race specification for answering either way.
Also, to add to my response since I read that little ditty from the conservative paper, it IS offensive if it is meant to be a target on the person's race. Once you hit on that you're walking into dangerous territory, and I shall not follow.
I was Bo Jackson once when I was like 8 and did it.
Was awesome.
^ This.
It's not us telling another ethnicity how to feel. It's just logical to know what is and what isn't offensive. I would not give two shits if some black guy shows up to a party dressed as Eminem to stay with the topic. I would actually think it's hilarious.
Hey guys, what's going on in this thread?
I was waitin for sho to sho up
Seeing as the context of this being offensive to people is rooted in some serious prejudicial history in this country, whereas a white person dressing up in ''white face" is not, can't really compare the two. I am not saying a white person could not be offended, sure they could, but they would be doing so out of feeling stereotyped. That feeling of being stereotyped from the black perspective, in this case, has much deeper implications. Again, 99% of the time people don't know these implications, thus its often not even considered. I saw it all the time when the prominent black professors would protest this stuff on campus on the grounds of its historical significance, but the audience they spoke to often was oblivious to this history, thus it was pretty much ineffective.
I am so offended right now.
i'd beat that first cracker to death
I know that, and I guess I didn't think that response through all the way haha. But I think the overall "correct" if you will response is...
^
So long as they aren't running around spewing derogatory terms and whatnot it should be perfectly fine.
that shit's offensive, shojin
