Haven't seen anything really posted about terror, so I played around a bit. From eyeballing tests (haven't really had a chance to run anything extensive), Nightfall terror effect is about a 5% proc rate with a 1-10 second duration (it can land on NM's in Nyzul Isle, unsure if this means it can land on HNM - and even if it did it wears off near instantly), and I'm fairly certain it can proc on weapon skills if that even matters. It's definitely a lot of fun to play with, but the duration of terror is nothing special or overpowered as I had hoped.

I know he isn't a hnm but we terrorized the shadow lord when we were messing a bit with nightfall.

In the 7 fights since I got the sword, I've yet to proc terror on Shadow Lord.

IIRC campaign mobs are calculated as fairly low level (like 60ish or something), so that could have something to do with it.

(Very) Rough estimates based on parses of a few runs:

Shadow Lord is about lvl 88 (could be anywhere from 87-89)
Has ~475 defense, ~425 with Dia II (could be lower; extrapolated averages varied by up to 25 points)
Need ~450 accuracy to cap hit rate


Just targets to note when trying to improve performance in the fight.


Personally finding it extremely easy to tank as mnk/nin using Counterstance+Footwork (with KKs) and 41-47 Subtle Blow (Hades Sainti, Melee Gloves/Usu Gote, Rajas, Black Belt, Tiercel when Focus is up), giving 5-6 TP per hit on a 7-hit build. Whm Auspice is also nice, pushing TP given to 4.7 per hit.

In theory, can do ~5% of his HP in damage between each of his TP moves (or ~90-120 seconds with plenty of haste, but also lots of utsu casting), and thats if he always goes at 100 TP (but also never hits you for TP). Unfortunately, 1 mnk is insufficient damage to complete the BC within the time limit (need about 35-40 minutes).

It's kind of sad to see people hating on others and how they got SL gear and have what by your standards is low quality gear. Now granted yes they may be in amir or hachi or adaman or whatever, and these types of gear don't stand up to e-bodies or swift/vbelts or usukane gear, but they still busted their hides in campaign just the same to get that Altana medal didn't they. When did nice gear become reserved only for people that already have nice gear? Didn't those with nice gear have lower quality gear once upon a time? I for one am glad to see SE allow those not interested in endgame to still be able to get nice gear like SL gear, and wish they would do it more often, (one of the few things they do right in my opinion. SE still on my hate list for the way they created this game but meh. Anyways good luck to everyone looking to get SL gear, hopefully people keep interest in the fight to keep zones under control, even those who have already gotten the gear, it does drop star sapphire and other nice items after all.

Don't need to be in an endgame shell to buy dusk gear.

There a difference between not having good armor and just plain being a dumbass who knows nothing of their job and will probably never learn because any help others try to give they ignore and continue meleeing in STR rings.

Edit: Oh, and not only did i spend "all that time" getting my Campaign rank, i was also up at 2AM helping the (Majority JP) players on my server for 8 hours to claim the Zvahl and Keep and i walked away with 0/13 on Body/Sword and 1/13 on Head :>

We got our 300 plus ppl right now as we speak to try again and see if we can unlock this BCNM for our server since my original post resulted in a last minute failed attempt lol. Got my medal of altana rank yesterday though lol for the first time so the timing was right.

Thanks for info on the new gear, and the coffer drops and the epic pictures of the throne room line lol.(your server is organized in that picture I was amazed.)

Implying that it is hard to rank up and that those same people would know how to even keep zones or even the knowledge of how to gain influence in a zone.
