Uh, people were talking about Alexander having this up and we aren't post merger and our population is pretty shitty in general.

I'd say it's due to the fact our JP population is fairly large and their must have been some LSs really working hard to unlock it. We've never unlocked cracking shells ever to my knowledge and even La Vaule is barely touched.

tl;dr:

shadow lord can split his greatsword into two swords
with his greatsword out, he can use a WS that makes him absorb magic (appears as a blue orb with the beastman symbol, and persistent blue lights on his body)
with dual swords, he does the same thing for physical, but it's red instead of blue
with dual swords, he had a blinkable AoE and a 700-1300 damage single-target multihit WS
with greatsword, he starts using magic and physical AoEs that appear to go through shadows
splits into copies which all do the same WS, like in dynamis
if you wipe he regens to full

Okay. Just beat the thing; droped Reign Grip, Tiercel Necklace, and Vile +1. Set up was BLU/NIN, SAM/NIN, SAM/NIN, BRD, RDM, WHM.

Toward the end, like around 10%~, I couldn't get elegy to land worth a damn, and he started using a new WS, Doom Arc, which goes through shadows but didn't wipe them. Killed one of our SAMs, but didn't look like it was a one-hit murder.

Interestingly, he only used clones once, near the very, very end. Doing another run, same set up, and we'll see if it was just luck, or if something we're doing prompts them.

BLU had a hard time stunning; said the moves were both too fast, and stun didn't seem to proc. I was Bard this time, and SAMs didn't have Blade Bash, so couldn't test that.

One note, though, is that hate seems *really* sporadic on him. It didn't seem to shift after a WS, either this time or last. He just randomly decides to go beat up on someone. It's easy to re-establish hate on him and get him off whomever, but it was definitely not normal mechanics.

Was right about 3 DDs moving this along; we finished with more than 10 minutes, where last time we timed out. Still some to learn about what prompts clones, but... was nice.

It's been on no other servers (that I've heard of, at least?) And I'm pretty sure the other NA's who have tried had failed to that point. Also, it's been hard enough to find people to participate, that semi-rival shells have been pulling individuals to go at it. I know several JP shells have made it, but folks in the group I was with were watching pretty much all day until we started. So, it's not certain, but it's not that hard to tell.

Alexander's NA population has mostly ignored campaign.

As actually adding more info, when we fought him again (3rd time) on light's day, he resisted Elegy like a mofo, and had a new component to Dark Arc, where it added HP down + knockback. Erasable, and didn't wipe shadows still, but looked to cut HP into about half. Again, we had very few clone splits.

Finale/Dispel don't get rid of Soma wall.

I think that's about it; no new drops other than the 2 we got before.

Yeah, poor Odin, Bahamut, and the other non-merged servers. Maybe SE will merge them sometime, too, so they can have enough people to do these.
