About fucking time!
About to troll Gamestop for ZoE 2. Starting to miss it. Also apologies since all the gifs in my spoiler might make this page load slow.
Spoiler: show
I might have to re-host.
Also Gauntlet is the best sub-weapon imo but the gif for it makes it look boring.
I've never seen a secondary weapon in any game look as over the top awesome as Vector Cannon.
Shift to [VECTOR CANNON] mode..
All energy lines connected..
Landing gear and climbing ions locked..
Inner chamber pressure rising normally..
Life ring has started revolving..
Ready to fire..
I'MMA FIRAH MAH LAZAH!
Cancel Vector Cannon mode..
The battleship fight sequence and the ground mecha battle had to be my favorite video game action sequence. Ever.

agreed, the battleship stage was so much epic
the youtube video doesn't have the background music loud enough tho =\
Zakat's theme is one of my favorite songs in the game honestly. I've played the game so damn much though that the whole thing is easy for me on the hardest setting. Cept that battlefield stage. It's pretty gay.
The best part that got me in ZOE2 was the nice cameo from one of my favorite konami games.
*SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED IT*
Spoiler: show
shit and shit, I feel a serious need to go play ZoE2 now. I only ever played the first and was super young, but felt like my mecha-love was being trampled on because of how horrible I was at the game. One of the few games I bought as a kid where the combination of robots and the game box did all the advertising I needed, as opposed to like a giant golden axe on the game box. That got me too many times, but is a pretty good rule of thumb.
Oh I played the shit out of that stage but it's because the spawns and the stage layout imo was the least intrusive on your movement imo. It's kinda hard for me to explain. The soft barrier of stage 5 to me was the biggest and since I tend to play with a close-quarters mindset, you need to run away a lot to space the enemies out and stage 5 gave you the biggest leeway before your camera started messing up or the amount enemies that start attacking you from outside the barrier becomes an issue.
Yeah, it had the best music and most space. I also liked Vermillion Skies for similar reasons, good music and nice space. But I did always hate after like 1000 kills (actually, a lot sooner than that) attacks would come from off screen and there was nothing you can do that isn't mostly just luck from spamming H.Missiles lol.
I loved survival mode, I think my highest was like 1200, but I hear people getting like 1500+, which seems totally flukey.
Zakat fight as awesome, purely because near the beginning Ken tells you about a flashback and you see an art depiction of Zakat, then you actually get to square out with him. But those guys piloting it seemed like comic relief people, I actually think he's cool lol, but the whole idea of an aerial fight was kick ass.
Put this in the "what the hell is that supposed to mean?" file.

It's that time again, Hideo Kojima has tweeted that if his next project fails he will probably have to leave the industry stating “The next project will challenge a certain type of taboo. If I mess up, I’ll probably have to leave the industry. However, I don't want to pass by avoiding that. I turn 47 this year. It's been 24 years since I started making games. Today, I got an ally who would happily support me in that risk. Although it's just one person. For a start, it's good."
Hideo has recently begun to talk about his next project claiming "I'm thinking about the casting for my next title. The project plan still hasn't reached a detailed level, but everything is advancing simultaneously in my head. Title, game design, story, characters, setting research, the mecha that appear, casting, graphic direction, sound, beginning and ending, the major story sequences. It comes together naturally in my head." He has also been pondering the voice cast.
At this point it only leaves us with more questions than answers.
Sounds like a brand new game or something he thinks people might not like....lol
Dear god no, it almost sounds like it might be on the Wii.
