Best place to buy skateboard (longboard/cruiser) parts online

I'd prefer to buy local, of course, but the shops I knew about in DC have all closed, and I'm looking for specific things regular shops might not carry anyway.

I'm looking to buy a set of big, soft (85a- ish) wheels and some decent, old school soft risers (not hard plastic ones). Does anyone have any suggestions for online places? I've googled a bit, and the places I have heard of (like CCS) had shit selection, and I don't know much about other sites.

Suggestions about wheel brands welcome, too. I've seen the Powell remakes and always liked those back in the day. And I see that Element makes soft wheels now but I don't know anything about them. Any filmers out there with an opinion?

You could try looking on zappos, or any skateboarding affiliated site, DC and what not. They might have what you're looking for.

I'd hit up a Longboarding forum if I were you.

It's crazy how many different parts and board size/shapes there are. Hitting up people in the know will let them help you find a setup that will work for what you're after.

Plus they'll know where to get all the stuff you need.

I used to work with the guy that runs this company. His brother owned a plastic factory where he made the risers. Seems like he doesn't sell the wheels you want tho.

I haven't seen the dude in 10 plus years, was actually surprised he's still in business. I do know the risers are what you're looking for.

only way to go for decks. Dunno if they have the parts you're looking for, though.

Edit: Looks like they do have a decent selection of parts. Risers, bearings, bushings, hardware, etc.

See that's the thing, I'm not really looking for a deck. I want a regular-sized board so I can set it up for ramps/street if I feel like it, but convert it to a cruiser most of the time. No space in my tiny ass apartment for multiple boards lol. If I had a nickel for every old worn out pair of OJII's I had in my parent's garage...

Yeah I also have a short-board with big wheels. Can't stand trying to take a longboard around campus/town.

That website does have a great selection of large wheels, up to 90mm. Check out the Abec 11's, they're super super soft and huge.

That site is definitely awesome. Some of the stuff is really pricey because it looks like it's super-hobbyist. But there were some cheap Kryptonics for like $24.00. Fifteen bucks to ship to DC though. Fucking ouch.

I hate to do it, but I might just have to buy things from Amazon. These were awesome back in the day, and the price (especially with super saver shipping) is just about impossible to beat.

Also, why the hell are there 403 kinds of hardware for sale from Amazon? lol
