    So don't play the ones that are online? Get a PSP and play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (or Freedom or Freedom 2, but Freedom Unite is basically 2 with some added goodies, and Freedom 2 is like an enhanced 1 *shrug*), there's an option for multiplayer if you want to set up that X-link dealy, and even without it, solo is pretty fun when you get to the harder hunts.
