1 in every 1000 animals born across all the mog islands in one server will have golden fleece and can be used to make SSS rank items. Will sell on the market for 2.3 billion gil.

Does Newbers ragdoll avatar disturb anyone else? my mind usually filters these things pretty well, but that one just grates on me.
I wouldn't think Shepherds would gather skins for leathercrafters, because that requires... skinning the dead animal.
As great as it would be if Shepherd was some really innovative class that did something cool like raising chocobos or other mobs, implementation-wise I'm betting they'll do the easy thing and make it so that you're basically mining mobs. Which honestly is still new and more interesting than any of the HELMing in XI.
I wonder how long it's gonna take to level up the hand/land classes
like if I spent a lazy sunday afternoon just working on say mining and using the materials for blacksmith/armourer (Whichever does weapons) how far would I get in one day? I also hope it's not a gil sink. But then again I don't want to end up having to do mining/excavating/lumberjacking/whatever the fuck just to get all the materials needed to work on the weapon making class.
Oh, my avatar is nowhere near as creepy as some others I've seen...Does Newbers ragdoll avatar disturb anyone else? my mind usually filters these things pretty well, but that one just grates on me.

His avatar really creeps the fuck out of me.
It was a very, VERY powerful job with the right gear and spells. En-Bio was a killer, and you could be pretty cheap and dual wield weapons to en-flare while en-aspiring your mana back.
You only used magic when first casting the enspell, just like rdms, but those puppies lasted much longer than a rdm's enspells. Imagine putting ancient magic on an enspell and cutting the total damage in half, yet allowing for multiple hitting weapons to proc the spell each time, and factoring in elemental resistances in each attack.
I'd love to see a front-line, moderately-armored sword-and-spell-slinging machine in FFXIV. I'd certainly like for enspells to be stronger than the 3-5 damage boost we all remember seeing while leveling up on disproportionately-armored crabs. Poor rdm never had a niche until SE took pity on them and gave em' refresh...
I thought they were. I don't remember much about the game but I was thinking that my Sorceror was just a ridiculous killing machine.
Well, if they really do end up having five DoM classes, you would think at least one of them could be a melee based magic class. Maybe it will be the Mystic Knight =)
[edit] yup
no lie, took me a couple times seeing it to realize it moved.
on topic:
After reading this its really sparked my realization of how this system is gonna work. The only details on the action points system i remember reading is that its similar to BLU's ability equip system like in ffxi. I'm assuming job traits are among the things equippable or am i not understanding this system correctly?
This thread went to shit really fast.
Try and keep it on topic, I know it's a speculation thread of sorts, but if you're going to post something stupid don't post at all.
