Gonna disagree here, I went from main rdm to mnk, and being a better rdm is all about paying attention, whereas being a better monk is all about gear. [haste/tp set], [ws set] [chakra set] [tank set] make macros, set it and forget it.

This forum started out as a place for the solid, hardcore endgame community to actually have a home--I'll be damned if I let it turn into some bullshit "everyone's opinion is respected and we love everyone no matter how bad they are" kind of place.

The difference between RDM and MNK is how much attention you need to pay. Not all jobs are equal in that. You'd need to pay 10x more attention to be a good PUP than you would to be a good MNK, and 10x that to be a good RDM (though playing RDM for 4 years, I hate that fucking job).

Ex-hardcore speaking: Equipment swap in the way XI handled it was shitty game design. They removed it in XIV, and replaced it with manually selecting which combination of attributes will be the most effective. There is going to be min/maxing, so deal with it. On the other hand, don't berate other posters for actually wanting more variety than the system used in XI.

If the self-proclaimed asshats in this thread were smart, they would realize that acting like an asshat is detrimental to their own success.

News flash: It might be hard for you to wrap your mind around, but most of the beloved information and formulas you so lovingly look up on the Wiki came from this forum, and from a lot of us posting in this thread.

It must be blissful to be able to post on here thinking that somehow this is just another XI community like Alla, and that all of us just sit around stroking ourselves over research that other people have put multiple hours into.

The only aspect that we're being "asshats" in terms of is people whining about the endgame community as a whole, namely Reiryuu, who can't seem to plug the anti-hardcore garbage seeping from his mouth, all the while wishing for some sort of Sunshine Mage class that shits rainbows as a class ability and people can use to duo endgame activities and get their top tier gear.

Seriously, those of you that are just now joining this forum, at least take a couple seconds to research what you're saying and posting, before slogging into the XIV section with an Alla mindset and spewing stupid shit and ideas against what this entire forum was founded on.

You guys really haven't ceased to amaze me, from the unwillingness to type out a simple swear word in favor of using dollar signs instead of the letter s, to some of the amazingly comical responses to some of these posts.

Ah, the smell of someone who wishes they got laid last night. The people that throw this one out are typically in the same boat, or rarely get anything. I don't even play MMOs right now, and even if I did, I'd still be taking care of business. Shut the fuck up and stop playing the typical card everyone plays. It's pretty ridiculous--especially when you don't know anything about someone's personal life. If you did know anything about mine, you wouldn't be playing that card.

Also, you do owe me something--respect. Or do people not actually respect their "elders" anymore, which when your parents should have taught you that lesson (if your parents taught you a damn thing), you should have interpreted that as the "more knowledgable". Normally elders don't have to act like this and yell and scream at you to pay fucking attention or show respect--but after spending a few years of actually trying to be nice to people and give them information, and watch them act like the typical American asshat (hi, you're the asshat) and play the "YOU DON'T NEED TO TEACH ME ANYTHING, I KNOW EVERYTHING, YOU'RE DUMB" card, this is the only way to keep my sanity.

You're in my house, and a lot of other people's house like me, on our grounds. A lot of people left here that gave a ton of amazing information due to attitudes like yours, which were entirely disrespectful to us after helping make everything so much easier for you.

I'm not even sure I should be taking your post seriously, but I will bite and say that I was there at US launch and yes I was 75 before the rng nerf.

I'm still a little lost how you seem to know how old I am (as if age is any indicator of respect, thats an old wives tale so children would do what mommy says), how about you stop jumping to conclusions about everyone based on their post score.

While this is pretty accurate, you still need the same thing for RDM (set switching macros for RDM.) Pretty fail if you don't do it imo.
