sorry, not sure what WD means.. theres no other 1TB or 1.5TB on that site, so maybe order a hard drive off newegg and install myself would be my best bet? the next one close to 1TB is the 750GB Samsung..

Western Digital. Seagate bought Maxtor... and maxtor was pretty meh imo. I'd probably go with the best prices I can find on drives, however that normally seems to be WD (or maybe a couple dollars more I still go with WD)

Go with the i5-750. It'll save you ~$90 and its about the same as the i7-860 (which is a complete waste on the P55 socket).

You also probably don't need the sound card, which should save you another $50. If you're only getting 2.0 channel speakers, a 7.1 soundcard is a complete waste, and most motherboards have HD audio integrated into them now.

Looking at the HDDs they offer, they aren't very good. As someone above me said, I tend to prefer WD over Seagate.

    http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/Sh...px?Submit=view

Above is an example of what you could get if you were to build it with the help of a friend.

Costs would be ~$1450, not counting $50 possible in rebates.

The upgrades over your ~$1800 system would be:

    Corsair 750W TX
    WD 1TB Caviar Black HDD
    Sapphire HD5870 Vapor-X
    ASUS P7P55D PRO Motherboard

You'd be saving about $400 and getting a computer that is 15-20% more powerful in the graphics department.

The problem with me building it myself is that i dont know if all the parts are compatible with each other or if all would fit in the case i select -_- thats mains reason id prefer pre-built lol

How is my build? Can somebody please check and see if everything is compatible with each other, and look over this as if your buying it and looking for any problems that might come up? Also is there anything im making a big mistake on? where can i improve my build? I want to order this tonight or tmorrow so any quick help would be awesome, and if nobody says anything thats wrong with this build, ill be going with this build then! (theres 2 speakers in the list, 1 of them is free so) Ill probably add a monitor to list before I order so, but dont think that matters for anything.

Thanks alot guys! if its easier to talk to me about this hit me up on AIM, cuz like i said i want to order my pc asap. (aim: smnaggin15)

Won't work. Motherboard is LGA 1156, CPU is 1366.

If you have a microcenter near you, get the stuff with links from microcenter from there. (i7 930 namely, it's 290 at newegg vs 200 at microcenter.)

    Case: HAF 932.

    Mobo:
    http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0312963

    CPU:
    http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0331303

    Thermal Compound:
Arctic 7 Silver Compound something or other, you listed it above.

    CPU Fan:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186134

    PSU:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371026

    RAM:
    http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0301254

    OS Drive:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820167025

    Storage Drive:
    http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0334235

    GPU:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150476

    Optical Drives:
    Anything really.

You'll get 2GB more RAM, better graphics card, and a SSD for your OS. The HAF 932 case is a larger version or the 922. More space = more airflow. The 932 looks better too imo.

    Links are all fixed now.

Substitute the 930 for the 920 on NewEgg. Motherboard/RAM are also on NewEgg for roughly the same price. SSD isn't in stock for a few more days but if you don't want that it would save you $125.

The EVGA boards are pretty damn good.. I know a couple people that have that one you linked and they love it. Only thing that kinda bugs me tho is the active fan on the northbridge chip - I had a board with one of those and it added extra noise. If you don't mind that tho, go for it.

    Rosewill
STOP RIGHT THERE! Never get anything from that horrible fucking company, ESPECIALLY a power supply. 1000W is really overkill for this build. You should be perfect with a 750 - get this one or the Antec one mentioned above.

The AC Freezer 7 is a great heatsink for basic cooling on an i7 (cuz Intel's stock cooler is terrible), but if you plan to do any overclocking you'll really need something more capable like a Noctua U12P.

This is the newly build from what you suggested to me, which were great and I made some changes.

Case (comes with the PSU): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119221

I'm not sure those links will work, but maybe copy and paste em? lol. Im not sure about the RAM, I think it would connect. I might even go back to the 4GB RAM so i can buy a Monitor as well since price will be lowered.. or do you think ill be needing 6GB > 4GB? What am I missing on this List, if anything? (didnt link my keyboard/mouse/cd-dvd writer so anythign besides those)

I'd be weary about what PSU comes with that case cause just looking over it I don't see a name. The ones that come with the towers are usually of shitty quality and price wise, it's pretty much the same as buying the case and PSU individually, except that the PSU linked above is a good one.

As for CPU, just drop down to the 920. 90 bucks cheaper and you could overclock it to make it faster than the 930 with little work. The only reason I'm picking a 930 in my build is because I have a microcenter near my house and it's is the same price as the 920. ($200)

Ok so i've changed back to the i7-920 as you suggested, saved me 20$ lol. Anything else you see wrong or iffy about this build?

And you really rthink imma need 6GB? I plan to play some games, but I never have them installed on my PC unless I am playing it longtime.. would save me an extra 50$ to go to 4GB if i dont really need 6.

ive also swapped my RAM to this and saved me 50$: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227365

Wow when did they start including a power supply with the HAF 932? FYI the included PSU looks like a CM SilentPro 700W, which isn't that bad. The combo cost seems like pretty good savings as well.

On an X58/i7-9xx build you have to add memory in sets of 3 sticks, so 6 gigs (3x2GB) is your "sweet spot". You can drop down to 3x1GB if you want but that might not be enough.

Here I'll save you another $8 and you'll get better memory than OCZ - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145259
